phill, my fav part of the riders meeting that weekend was when he said, " please don't ride the track backwards"
have you ever seen that happen?
That be crazy
Yes, I have seen that. Racer 5 day at TMP in 2011. First session in Green group, I came around turn 2, started down the straight and saw a bike coming at me from the wrong direction. Guy got lost. Seriously.
When did this happen with the heros?? and Who did you talk to about it? Just FYI they are hired to run the days and do not make money based on the number of riders. whether there are 2 or 60 riders doesnt change what they get paid so thats parts just bashing for bashing sake. And could you be more specific on what "militant" means in this context?
There were earlier instances I didn't catch on video. I told the marshal at pit out.
Unfortunately, due to bad weather, closed roads and a problem at the front gate I was a few minutes late for the start of the riders meeting. I was refused a sticker to allow me to participate "you're late, too bad. It turned out that several others were also held up at the front gate, so he relented and told us to come back after the first round (we had to miss the first round). All we had missed were the introductions. It was a most unfriendly start to the day.
On my previous visit to TMP the riders meeting had started an hour late. As far as I know there isn't an easy way to tell who is running the day, so last year I only went once, on a day when I knew who was organizing.
