Tmp, does anyone know who was taking pictures on the infield Sept !5?

That video was also from 2011, so my pace increased since that video. I did my 1:22.6 in 2012. My line through 1 was better last year.

Notice in the video how I take a sweeping line through 8 that puts me about 2/3's of the way across the track. For me this seems to be fast. I see a lot of people turn in very late for 8 and pretty much head straight for 9 (we're calling the kink turn 7, right?), but you can carry a lot of speed through 8, and this also sets up an inside pass into 9. I love turn 10. You can hammer through there really fast, and for me there's just a breath of braking before 11 and use the first apex to scrub speed off.

I'm glad you guys are finding this video useful. There are some SMP and GBR videos on my channel too. http://www.youtube.com/user/greendave75

If that doesn't get me into the 1:22s I blame the tires. :)
The blaming order as explained to me by Dave Noble is:

1- Tires
2- Suspension
3- Brakes (Jamie already took care of the first 2, so he is on the Brake blaming game now)

Just throw money at it. That'll fix it.

I always blame myself first. I bought the crappy tires, suspension and brakes. LOL

I love it too. For me it is a similar feeling to the dogleg at GB in the reverse alien layout. T10 at TMP is slower obviously but the feeling is kinda the same because once I exit it I don't really need much or any brakes into 11 (or into the reverse carousel at GB).

Wow this has turned into a bench racing thread....

Man i would quit riding if i have to dissect my lap times every weekend.

My lap times are based on my grin factor.

I don't know guys, yes turn 10 is very fast, but I seem to generate quite a bit of speed exiting 9 and making it scream in 2nd, the front becomes very light and sometimes even lifts a bit. I don't use brakes for turn 10, but I can't keep going even at maintenance throttle through the turn either---I think I completely let off the throttle while turning in order to slow down a bit.

Yeah, I don't remember what I was doing through T10 on my ZX6R. Pretty sure I was just level throttle though, no brakes.

It may be coming, but tomorrow is coming earlier! Also the Thanksgiving weekend! :D

Next Thursday at GBR is long track to end the SOAR season. :) Unfortunately my Thanksgiving is already full with eating, but maybe the Monday I'll get out on the dirt bike.

Have fun tomorrow guys.

I got a free Practice day with Soar that Friday and I don't have a bike yet - Nothing like losing a free track day

You still have a week! ;) What's up with your sponsor? He should be eager to get you rolling on the new bike to advertise at the final round. :)
Did you sell the Ninja already?

I could possibly offer this to just a very very limited group of people, looking at the very very short list, your name somehow got in there, lol! So yeah---if you feel like a trip to Hamilton during the week, you can borrow my bike, I'm comfortable with that. You crash---you fix, up to operational state, don't need to be perfect, that's the only rule :)

I will know tonight if I sold it or not.

The sponsor has got the bike all cleaned up and I quote "you can eat off the engine" but there is still some work to be done to Cripple free the bike and i have to setup the suspension to my weight "not making the mistake of grab it and ride it again" so doubt all the starts will align, but there is some hope

It has a lot to do with me still being banged up from my last off roading adventure as well.
