Tire install costs and businesses

Hi guys, I just bought new tires from petes. I live in downtown Toronto and wondering where would it be best to get them installed from. Looking for best service and price.

Thanks for all suggestions in advance. Amitt

This is something you should have thought of before you bought the tires...

to me the $60 savings wasn't worth ordering from pete's and then taking my bike/tires elsewhere to get mounted and the riding time lost...

MikeyMoto will install em the cheapest. If he's not close enough for ya check Rosey Toes. For the best service take em to Daniel at Heritage Auto, 24 ingram drive (ingram and keele). They are doing construction on his parking lot so verify he's has access to his service bay (he didn't yesterday).

This comes up all the time. It's good to pre-plan your the new tire install. Somebody had a flow chart for that. I wonder if it's still around? Maybe in the archives?

Bought tires from Pete's the other week, sent them directly to Daniel at Heritage Auto..ordered weds night..tires were there the next monday. Took the wheels off myself since I wanted to change brake pads anyway. Dropped off the wheels at Heritage and he had them done in less than an hour.
Great service and price!
btw luv those PR3's and EBC pads:cool:

We have a lot to owe to Pete. You werent here for that so i can see why you dont see it that way. Before he started up his business and offered rock bottom prices on shipped tires the entire GTA area paid dearly from all the local dealers. No-one came close to Petes prices. At that time the BT016's first came out and local quotes of 400 for a set were quite the norm. Pete came in at 290 front and back. I clearly remember Riders Choice showing me his screen on what his cost on the tires was and it was more than what Pete's retail price was.

Some members will also remember that local shops tried to get the tire manufactures to ban Pete from selling in GTA, GTAM community got a wind of it and raised hell until they backed off. For a while Pete had to hide his online prices, they were that good.

So yea, a little more hassle if you dont plan ahead but Pete definitively deserves our business for what he has done.

I didn't know the story, and that's great to hear :) Thanks for posting. I love Pete :D

Buying and installing tire from my local shop or buying from pete and getting them install by the same shop is a 70$ difference...in favour of Pete. That guy has the best price.

+1 for Daniel at Heritage, had my tires installed there last at the start of the season. Great Service and really good price, had my tires from Pete's shipped directly to Heritage.

Will also be ordering from Pete's shortly, and using the forum member that comes to your place and installs them. His name escapes me but it shouldn't be hard to find on here.

EDIT: Found the thread I was referring to: http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?130343-Tire-Installs-By-Ricardo-AKA-GTA-Tire-Guy

Just have them changed at your place
Wow, never heard of that! My buddie lives 2 mins from KC and needs new tires. I assume you have to bring him your rims (off bike), or can he take the rims off for ya too?

Mikey is Brampton, Rosey is North TO, Heritage is Brockville....So who does tire changes close to Markham?

Great. tried calling but no answer...

edit*** FYI
Speedworx charges $47.50 for a set of loose wheels. $85 a set on the bike.

Good Wheel Motors near Finch + Keel charges $20/wheel.

Fawaz at speedworx

werd. I priced out buying a special from Pete's + install and compared it to Fawaz's special. It turned out to be just a couple bucks more going to Fawaz...so I went to him. Stand-up dude...had a slight miscommunication and still decided to take me in for a tire change.

I have alwasy gotten as good a deal as Pete offers, installed and balanced on loose wheels from Bluestreak and Platinum. More local than Montreal

Weird post actually. I bought my tires from Pete's. Ken (kneedragger88 ) came, picked up the bike and the tires, then brought the bike back with new tires installed and balanced. I didn't have to do anything, and still saved over local prices.

I know a friend with a GSXR that rode with both tires on his body to a shop and got them changed lol

$60 is a lot of money!
