It’s the inconvenience, expense for some , missing work , late for school, whatever .
To say nothing of the danger of driving on half deflated tires if you leave home in the dark before they are flat.
And these idiots think this will help their cause ? Oy vey

I'd say zero. 'Prove that YOUR car was targeted by our organization'. Case closed.

These people are idiots and are not doing it with the expectation of any real change. They're asshats, nothing else.

One of them will get caught and be beaten down hard one of these days. Then they'll cry 'foul' and their sympathy card runs out.

'Let's set an unrealistic goal for our organization...that'll show them'. Idiots.

You can't get the organization but can likely get an individual. Lots of cameras around and these won't be the toughest/brightest sparks. Put handcuffs on them and the verbal diarrhea will be epic.

Is it negligence if it was intentional? Mischief can probably be applied. Or this one:

247 (1) Every person is guilty of an indictable offence and liable to imprisonment for a term of not more than five years or is guilty of an offence punishable on summary conviction who with intent to cause death or bodily harm to a person, whether ascertained or not,

  • (a) sets or places a trap, device or other thing that is likely to cause death or bodily harm to a person; or

Is deflating the tires setting a trap? That seems like something that could be argued (especially with the lentil trick where they could appear ok when driver got in but they could deflate at speed). I am sure the asshats would argue that they didn't intend to cause bodily harm but if a car got to speed on flats there is a decent chance they crash in the first sharp corner.
 
One of two things , mischief or vandalism . Tagged on a “ young offender “ equals zero .

Unless they yelled obscenity at an elected official at the same time , then it would be a hate crime or urban terrorism.

It would be a bit of a quandary if you were to catch these idiots in the act. You have to bet that one member of the group is doing all that damage while all their companions are poised to film "Karen goes crazy just because we are trying to save the planet" or some other BS so tread lightly or kill them all with fire...

I've noticed twice this year when the temperature changed quite a bit, that my TPMS sensors were saying the tires were low.

Yes, so I filled them. There are also people that rifles through the cars in the neighborhood, so there could be some group confusion caused.

On the rifling front, some of the calls the police get are hilarious. "I left my truck unlocked in my driveway and someone looked through it overnight. They took my wallet and an envelope with $25,000 in cash." wtf. I lock my vehicles, don't leave my wallet in them and sure as hell don't leave envelopes of cash in them. Obviously thieves are dirtbags but some people are so dumb that you wonder if this teaches them a lesson.
