Timmys timely service

Went through the drive through at a Timmys in Orillia to get a quick snack

ME: I will have a chicken wrap please.
Timmys Lady: We don't serve them until 10 am
Me: (Looking at my watch) well it's 9:59
TL : Our clock says it is only 9:58
ME: Well thats only 2 minutes early
TL: WE DON'T SERVE CHICKEN WRAPS TIL 10:

Where do they find these people?

Had to laugh, it immediately reminded me of that movie with Michael Douglas where he fires shots into the restaurant ceiling when they won't serve him an egg mcmuffin because it is one minute after 11;

I had a similar experience:

Me: Can I get a medium Steeped tea with two milk and one sugar?
Tims Lady: We don't have any brewed would you like something else?
Me: Oh ummm well how long until you have some?
Tims Lady: Two minutes.
Me: ????? Ok.... well can I wait the two minutes?

Isn't there a write up somewhere of the appropriate uses of a Tim Horton's drive thru to keep them fast moving? It was written has as a joke in a serious manner.

If I want a sammich, or I'm ordering a large order, I go inside so I'm not the idiot holding up the line.

If I had to order something that requires the 10 people behind me to wait, I would go inside... Sort of having a respectful attitude towards other people (as per the other thread).

Respect for anyone else? In the city? By your average Torontonian? ROFL!

I've always said that they need a separate line-up for those ordering JUST coffee. I can't count how many times I've been waiting to order my black coffee, just to get stuck behind half a dozen people ordering a double-toasted bagel with peanut butter, and 3 iced caps (one w chocolate milk), a dozen mixed donuts, a yogurt, and a raspberry iced lemonade.

Jeeeeeesus. I love Timmys, but can't they just stick to coffee and donuts?

Timmy's Employment Application:

(1) Have you had a lobotomy?

(2) If you answered No to (1), would you be willing to get one?

+1.

if you're ordering anything other than a grab and bag, or pourable item, then GTFO of the drive-through

I remember a few years back a radio DJ (I think it was Derringer from Q107) was bitching that his wife was given a hard time by Timmy's staff for trying to order about a dozen sandwiches through the drive-thru, and he was all like "if they advertise that you can get anything through the drive-thru, what's the problem????" Talk about an attitude of entitlement - just because you CAN get something through drive-thru, doesn't mean it's always the SMARTEST idea, especially, when the purpose is speedy service. Get off your fat *** and walk into the damn store if you have a large order.

If only they would respect those that do take the time to park and shut their cars off. Instead they make the walk ins wait for one server, while the drive thru gets five to fill orders. I walk in to order my med. ice cap made with chocolate milk (do you have any idea how many calories are in a normal one), and I have to wait forever.

it's the soccer mom ordering the 40 timbits but can't have them mixed at random that makes me start blurting out c bombs in line

I have had people yell at me in the past for ordering food at the drive through window at tims. My area is like one giant wasp retirement villa so we have some cranky people around I find. I had a sick baby who only slept if I drove around in the car, otherwise it was not stop screaming. I couldn't get out of the car to get food because I would have to wake the sleeping baby.
I go through for just coffees these days but I don't get irked by people making large food orders at the window especially if it is a person with a whack of kids.
While I get if you have a large order it is nicer, especially during the morning rush for coffee, but I think that it is pretty rude of people who are " in a hurry" to expect others to not order food through the drive through window at a tims, that is entitlement.

Ya know..they aren't working at Tim's because they can split the atom...

Your (or whoever's) need to procreate shouldn't affect me detrimentally.

I have a "sense of entitlement" because you're too entitled to get your butt out of your car and not inconvenience me and the other 10 people behind you? Give your head a shake.

For the record my scenario ended with me parking the car and someone coming out to give me my order so I didn't hold up the line. They have a time quota in the drive through just like McDonalds.

How is

Lol! So you having to wait for my sandwich order effects you detrimentally? Oh my!

I said that is how I feel. I didn't say anyone else needs to, or should feel that way. But with an attitude like that I have a feeling if you went into the tim's and there was a person with a bunch of kids there, you would be just as irritated. Maybe go live on a deserted island and you won't find yourself getting ****** off at everyone because they are not conforming how you feel people should conduct themselves.

Give your own head a shake. My point wasn't that people who order food through the tims drive through are not acting entitled, my point was to say that perhaps consider it may be far more involved for some people to go in and get the food than others. Since you clearly have disdain for us "breeders" perhaps consider a parapelegic, or an elderly person. But I guess they shouldn't be getting in YOUR way either

So I am "too entitled" and you're just "entitled"...thanks for clearing that up.

I would suggest an 'express' line for quick orders (I think I saw it above). There is a Tim's near my workplace, and there is construction going on in the same area. So every morning around 9:30 or so, there's always several construction workers ordering for each of their 20 co-workers. I have to leave when I get stuck behind them because their orders take 20-30 minutes sometimes.

I've never seen a sign by the drive thru that says "Express Lane". It's the same as going inside except you don't have to get out of your car. Therefore anything on the menu is fair game.

Most of the time it's quicker to just park and go inside even if your just getting a lukewarm cup of dingy water that they try and call coffee anyways.
