Ticket Cops At The Forks/Badlands

There are so many cars and bikes at the Forks and Badlands yesterday/today, the OPP has meter maids handing out parking tickets...on country roads! It's like a parking lot here. If you come up this way, be careful, and be prepared to stop and go.

Yes, there were strategically positioned along the entire road leading to Belfountain.

Lots of V-twins with straight pipes but no noise testing that we could see so I wonder if the Caledon By-law is being challenged.

It's insane up here - hundreds of people, cars and bikes.....you couldn't speed on Heritage or King or Mississauga if you wanted to
Oh well - bagel is fresh and I nabbed a chair ....all is well....1200k in the last two days part at night - I'm satisfied with the weekend. :D

Was some cool bikes there yesterday. - will post up pic later.

Plenty of them on Forks, on Saturday too when I went through there with my niece. They were just looking for bikes though.

Yeah, one of the few drawbacks to living in the area are all the frickin' city tourists every fall. Apparently they've never seen a leaf turn colour before and they're so awestruck they will stop in the middle of the road to take a picture. They'll also park on both sides of the road, thinking "it's only a country road". Well, guess what, it's harvest season and combines need to move from field to field. Idiots.

@CanadianBiker - I know what you mean. On one occasion, a few years back, I came around the blind right-hander uphill from the hairpin and narrowly avoided hitting a couple of blue hairs who had stopped their van right in the middle of the road and were standing beside it, oohing and awing at the leaves. This was in the middle of the week, not on a weekend though.

I had this happen to me yesterday near Belfountain. An SUV full of people just stopped dead center in the middle of the road. I started honking and the driver just waved at me through the mirror. Bloody hell. Soooooo inconsiderate.

thats why i avoided forks this year and went to Algonquin park instead. was much much better.

I go for the coffee, cute girls and conversation with other riders plus the free wifi lets me work and bad cell reception makes staff work :D
The crowda are an occasional nuisance - chased me out today - swarming with kids and too many drinks in hand around the computer...
Had a good lazy ride home on some of the back roads - sr 22 was nice over toward Guelph but with the sun gone - the colours wash out - warm is good tho....

Crazy busy down near Rattlesnake and the 401 east bound into Toronto was jammed up too.
Glad I'm out of traffic tonight.

I was there about the same time trying to take the family for ice cream, but we bailed out due to the congestion. I counted 3 OPP cruisers along that stretch.

I think this is the reason why I always visit the badlands and forks during a work day, where there is pretty much no one else there. Sure the Ice Cream place is typically closed during the weekdays, but certainly worth it for being less crowded.

The Shed in Belfountain to Hwy 10 via the Forks took me close to 45 minutes this afternoon. Insane traffic.

Same here. I never visit the Forks of the Credit area during weekends unless its very early or late.

You mean the mountain climber - she's got a boy friend and she is also exceptionally strong....Saw her pickup two boxes of bagged milk each with 4 x3litre bags casually and walk down into the cellar when she was working at the Shed.....damn..somewhere near 65 lb and walk down the stairs that has no guard rails. ( same cellar the track rider took a tumble into )
She is cute and a bouncy personality. Smoker tho which I tease her about.
