Attempting to squeeze that merge in, by pulling up to the car very closely, wasn't the smartest move on the part of the rider. For that matter, the car driver should have gotten the merge done sooner, too.

I avoid using the very last part of merge lanes ... get the merge done before that, so that if something goes wrong, you have room to work with.

The rider probably should have merged behind the camera car and in that case, would never have been in view of the video ... and wouldn't have been subjected to the car driver's sloppy behaviour.

Wow got your panties in a bunch eh? who am i? a regular joe knows the difference between right and wrong and safe and unsafe. 150 is just a number, my point was once people start going that speed and over on public roads it's no longer an issue of just getting some speed up to make an emergency pass etc. it means the guy is a tool. Using the age old excuse that 'it doesn't effect anyone' is bs.. riding like a tool on public roads endangers everyone.. You think just because a guy is alone on his bike if he crashes it will only effect him? What if he takes out a car, or cuts off a big rig and causes a multiple vehicle accident? it happens..

I never said i am better than anyone. I'm mature though, as most of us who ride are. The guys who speed excessively and stunts on public roads are not, so i'm assuming you are one of them since i hit such a nerve. Maybe you're the one on the blue bike i posted about yesterday?

As for your threat at the end, woo you have a fast bike? wowww.. i'm sooo impressed.. not.. so do i, i can easily keep up, big deal.. the speed of ones bike isn't what makes them tough. But like you said the cops will 'do their job' with you one day too if you ride that way, either that or father time will.

Watch til the end of the video 45) and you'll see the bike fly by at 150 and lane split. Up until then I just see a stupid car in front of him.

Seriously though, if it bothers you that much, become a traffic cop for opp and sick the heli on every biker you see. Some of us like to cruise, some like to speed like morons on public roads doing wheelies. Laws, leos and the courts are there to sort them out.

I am so sorry OP - thank you for posting it, I did not realize my maneuvers offended u that much. I sold my blue suzuki immediately after seeing your post and bought Toyota Prius.
Can you please send me DVD with your recording - I would like to put it on continuous loop on all my TVs at home to remind me never get on the bike again.

I also sent apology letter to all insurance companies and ask them to reduce rates for everyone as main idiot is off the bike now.

But the reason why our insurance is so high has more to do with the organized exploitation of the system -- not only by organized groups of fraudsters -- but moreso by corporations that have identified opportunities to exploit for profit. The number and cost of assessments, testing and treatments are totally abused... and the threshold for breakeven on upfront settlements is pushed ever higher by these abuses.

I don't see the issue, the car with the cam was already on the left lane when the bike passed, he would have made a clean pass if the idiot in the car didn't drive like a complete idiot and almost crashed for no reason

A sport bike 4 banger in a cruiser frame. 1/4 miles in the 11s, sweet rides. in 84 they destroked it it 698, so if i'm not mistaken its imposible to have a 750 84 magna unless using an engine from another year or having a custom built one.

although in a 1/4 mile i would give a ninja 650 a run for its money, would get spanked by any modern 600ss.

great bike, not a sport bike though.

EDIT. 1/4 MILE in the 11s was for the v65, the v45 was in the 12s.

As far as criticizing someone's driving style.
Some people still need to have stupid pointed out to them before they understand the concept.
Driving a vehicle up on the right and trying to split between others like that means you should have left the bike at home and ridden the rocket.
