i see this all the time crusing on the highway... some bikers just like weaving thru traffic i guess , but yes it is very dangerous especially when they are going 150+

Not to mention the very intelligent brake-check on the obviously somewhat inept car driver..good call...
 
In that video the guy in the car is just as stupid. He is slowing down and braking instead of speeding up and merging, and while the guy on the bike should have stayed behind the other car to the left, he had nowhere to go when that car slammed on the brakes. After that however he was a moron to pull up gesturing the car on the freakin' highway..

That said, i thought it was going to be another vid of a guy going 150k or more. I want to see a future where all vehicles on the road have a camera mounted in them, which records their view, but also the drivers own speed and statistics, as well as the speed of the vehicles the camera captures. And they would be so accurate that their data would be admissible in court. That would be invasive, but also kinda awesome because then when some immature punk blows by on the highway doing over 150 you could follow him and get him busted. There are so many times when i see punks blasting by on their bikes driving dangerously and it makes you want to catch them and go all Charles Bronson vigilante on them, but that wouldn't solve much.. getting them fined and possibly banned from driving in court would though.. ;)
 
i think he was doing close to 150 towards the end of that video, when he split lanes and almost clipped my car..had he lost control i would have most certainly ran him over.. i was doing about 100 when he passed me.

i was actually contemplating on calling 911 but no point.. my phone was stowed away in the glove box and he'd been long gone at that speed. I should have got the plate number instead, he was going so fast.. all i recall was 7xxx on the plate.

There's no way he was going anywhere near that fast. You were merging onto the highway and the cars to your left were all probably doing the typical 20 over, so they were all around 120 and they are flying by you... so you were probably around 100k at that point. The bike rider didn't split lanes either. You were fully into the left lane by the point the bike passed you, he was in the right lane and he was expecting the car in front of him to merge, but the car panicked and slowed down instead.

Really it's that car up ahead of you that was the bigger problem, one of those people that are afraid to speed up and merge. Then he slammed on the brakes and swerved all over the place like he wanted to cause the bike to crash.

I'm all against a-hole riders but really it doesn't seem like the bike did much in this instance. The real stupid act of the bike rider was just when he slowed afterward to try to yell into the car.

Progressive insurance is asking people to plug a black box into the cars computer that records everything you do in the car, how fast you accelerate, brake, speeds locations, everything. They give you a 30% reduction on insurance for doing it.

Very invasive if you ask me, and I would never do it!

Why is the limit at 150?... Is it because the government tells you so?
What's the difference between 101 and 149? You're still speeding... So what's your point?!?
As long as it does not affect you directly, why wish other people harm and talk down to them like you are some sort of god?
You post too often about other riders and what they should/shouldn't do, who the **** are you?
There are police officers patrolling the streets and they make good money doing what they do, leave it up to them.
Stop thinking you're better than everybody else and that riders such as these are giving you "a bad name".
If I ever see you on the road, I'll make sure I pass you doing 260 and remind you why we are not "brothers of the road".

I don't see the issue, the car with the cam was already on the left lane when the bike passed, he would have made a clean pass if the idiot in the car didn't drive like a complete idiot and almost crashed for no reason

also how is he giving you a bad name. You are driving a car. If you were a real rider why are you not on a bike?

exactly.. unless something happened before all of this, but here it's all the car up fronts fault
 
Watch til the end of the video (:45) and you'll see the bike fly by at 150 and lane split. Up until then I just see a stupid car in front of him.
