 everything is made in China, who gives a damn
Apple is at least based out of North America.
Don't be such a fanboi. Apple was first to the plate, they created the smartphone market as we know it. And the tablet market. Their competitors were given a chance to licence these technologies but they didn't wanna pony up. Tough luck!

iPhone changed the game. iPad changed the game. Recognize.
Shouldnt you be setting up a l33t linux rig or upgrading your ram?
It's a sad state of the society where lawyers and patent portfolios trump engineers and ideas. Crapple and m$ have really "legitimized" patent trolling as a sound business decision either as a sole source of income or to keep your competition down through lawsuits, injunctions and intimidation. Funny part is that we allow for it to happen while nervously reciting mantras like "free market will take care of itself" and "it will trickle down" while the corporate scum is laughing their way to the banks. Enjoy what they created and what you allowed to happen.. Canada's next
Well thats just a complete load of garbage, because we are always sending people away for having ideas that aren't patentable, whether because its obvious, previously patented, or simply not innovative. Many clients just choose to go ahead anyway.
In my years of private practice, I don't think I have ever given anyone advice to actually litigate something, I have, however, given lots of advice along the lines of "don't bother".
But then again I don't think facts ever mattered to you anyway.

Actually...... RIM changed the smart phone "as we know it"
Apple improved upon it.
Samsung S3 takes it one step further.
And on and on it will go, until the next paradigm shift.
