This guy stole my white Arai Profile helmet and winter Gloves

Helmet looks black to me. Title says white gear.

Why do people say that he was asking for it? Obviously it would have been a better idea not to leave it on the bike but he was asking for it? I don't think he left his helmet there hoping someone would steal it so he could start a thread.

Thanks for all your thoughts.
He was not wearing my gear when he left. I have him on 3 different cams riding up to and exiting the bike.
The pic was just a snapshot on his arrival.
I thought I caught him today....but I believe(hope )it was a mistaken identity on my part, after I had a conversation with him, what seemed to me a very nice old man. Maybe I was had? I am not 100% certain. These older E bike riders look similar?....Just a caution to not act out vigilanty justice......

Agreed.

Ideally, one should be able to leave their entire set of gear on the bike unlocked. And be able to leave the keys in the ignition (ideally just have a push button starter with no key).

It sucks that we live in a society where there are people who frequently take property that isn't theirs. While living in Korea I always left my gear on the bike when it was parked. I even left the keys in the ignition overnight a couple of times and nothing happened. Though something certainly could've happened, it's nice to know that most likely nothing would.

I hardly think that the OP leaving his helmet unlocked there is an invitation for theft. Just over-trusting of a small percentage of people who took advantage of him.

(I guess there's not much point discussing the ideal world scenario that I described, haha.)

out of sight and out of mind...i take my gear everywhere or lock it in the top box. hope they find the fool!

Yikes. I love my Arai Profile. I won't even leave it in the cold of the front room now that the weather has dipped, let alone unattended on my bike.

go back, write a note saying "sorry dude, i didnt mean to make you catch my stuff, if you really intend on using that helmet, i suggest you get yourself checked ASAP cause.... yea... good luck.... "

Looks like one of the crack heads I see riding around on e bikes at Sherbourne and Bloor.
