Think it's worth it?

I haven't really found smelly to be an issue in a day of riding but then I will wash in a sink at the end of the day and the stuff I wear is supposed to be anti-microbial. Still, I bought a fine wool t-shirt with the above in mind a while back but can't say I find it any more comfy.. a bit warm for me. I would like to try some of the Bamboo stuff.. where do you get yours?

I agree that the synthetic shirts do wash and dry very easily which is a definite plus. The natural fibers wash easily, but take longer to dry. My mom bought the bamboo shirt for me, so I'll have to ask her exactly where she bought it from, but if I recall correctly, she bought it in Arizona a few years back. The long sleeve tops are just like this one and really comfortable.
The eucalyptus shirts are just as good (they don't actually smell like eucalyptus) and I bought them from Modrobes. I'm not sure if Modrobes has a storefront anymore (Toronto based store) but they are often at various trade shows selling their clothing lines. I bought a hoodie for my Dad and he wears it all the time too. Again, very comfortable stuff and hands down my two most worn items in my closet.
