Things are getting soft

I came out of work yesterday and my bike had just a little extra lean...

kickstand was sunk in an inch of so through the pavement. I've had times where I've left a mark or an indent, but never a hole:o My stand has a farily big foorprint, not near as thin as some of the ss bikes have

Had soup last night to get a lid gong forward, maybe stop tonight at Homedepot to pick up a strudy electrical box lid.

I love the heat, but its taking its toll on some parking lots

I carry a little plastic stand support thing in the pockets of each of my jackets. Works well on gravel parking lots too.

ah.. thanks for the reminder. I need to fit my sidestand foot enlarger! I usually carry a squashed softdrink can to use instead.

If you buy frozen concentrated juice, the lids make great kickstand plates.

I use a toonie cuz im ballin like that!

tried juice tops before, and find they bend rather easy, so I use soup can lids, a little sturdier.

The other stand pads like cruisers use, stand my bike up too much toward vertical

Honda gave away plastic coasters at one of their demo rides a few years ago. They work well. Personally I don't want a sharp piece of metal in my pocket in case I find myself tumbling down the road.

Damn, thanks for the reminder. Went out to check my bike and noticed it was leaning too far, sunk about an inch into the ground. No pop cans around the office, guess I'll have to find something else.

take a couple of these

I just cut a piece of baseboard wood and leave it under the seat. I always put it down. Have seen too many bikes parked without them and leaning a little too far over. Not parking beside those ones. :/

Crackhead sees that, bike be damned, he's pushing that ****er over and taking it.

I guess you have never parked on gravel or on asphalt on a hot day ;)

Park in ashphalt every day at work. Last week a buddies CBR600RR sank in a bit, but not mine on the stand.
In soft sand when the side stand just goes in and can't support the bike I use the centre stand, it sinks in but the wheels end up supporting the weight and the centre stand is driven in like poles and it's stable.

lol, the same thing happened to me today..I went to a buddies house for an hour at most and came out, I dont know how it was still standing because I could have dragged my knee on the asphalt there was such an angle. Sank in about 2 inches into the driveway. I use the crushed pop can or a little 4'' by 4'' scrap 3/4 ply when parked at home. I should carry something for the road from now on!!
