The beauty of the recent (still?) recession is the 'sale' mentality that's been beaten into consumers. Retailers are having a hard time pushing items at full pop. You can find some good stuff on sale at the Winners of the world, but also at high end stores because it's all on sale sooner or later. Just be patient.
If you're cool with Walmart or Target, good for you. Target has some decent finds, especially $6 tshirts that actually fit well.

I own a few SuperDry fashion jackets paid well over what they are actually worth but i like the brand and the look of them.
