Better photos help
This. The monster I bought last year had crappy photos in FBMP and Kijiji. The asking price was 2k below similar models and with less kms than the comparables. Still, it was getting no attention because of the potato phone pictures. Heck, the add even didn't mentioned it was a 1200, from the pictures it was not clear if it was the 821 or 1200.
At some point I even thought it was a scam.

This can be a great source of deals if you're willing to roll the dice. But the flip side is I've gone to look at similar ads where the bike ends up being even worse than the ad suggests, with crappy photos disguising major problems or proving to be old photos with the bike now being in even worse shape. You have to be willing to immediately walk away, at least, so the farther you have to drive, the bigger the risk.

The same can be said for irritating sellers, who have horrible reading comprehension and getting a straight answer can be like pulling teeth.

For @mimico_polak , though, while I would say the quality of the pics posted in the fall could be improved somewhat, they weren't terrible. I'll be curious if the same price plus better pics draws more attention in a more active spring market.

When I was flipping bikes there for a bit I found PQ ( photo quality ) mattered enough to notice contacts increased. The first photo in particular. Get the background uncluttered and decent lighting for a bit of eye candy.

Good, but I wouldn't crop it that much for FB/Kijiji. You can't trust that they aren't going to automatically crop it further in previews/thumbnails
