Making me wonder if I jumped too soon to get a replacement bike. I miss mine, I can see another one in my future. Probably an 8th gen though, my 6th gen was immaculate from the PO and only 30k on it when it was written off, can't seem to find any in similar condition. Unless I find a mint 2007 anniversary edition ?
 
Hey guys . How much would you say is reasonable asking price for 2013 848 evo bone stock. Has 12200 kms. 12k service done with receipts .?? Thanks .

Used Ducatis are a tough private sale. They are normally worth enough that they exceed the cash in hand potential of many buyers. Washing them through a dealer opens up financing so people can buy more bike than they can afford. That being said, 5 seems low to me (as expected on a trade offer especially when they will likely be sitting on it for the winter).

What are the comps on Kijiji? Have you been watching the market to see what people were asking for ones that disappeared?

dealers offering 5k for the evo?
I've seen those go for more, but dealers trying to rip you off is nothing new

Far be it for me to defend dealers, but remember that a trade in offer worth an extra 13% (in Ontario) because you only have to pay taxes on the difference. To sell it privately (and assuming you were still buying from the dealer), you would need to get $5650 to break even; plus whatever costs you associate to listing, showing, and replying to/ignoring all the "Is this still available?".

couple bikes which are 5-6000 kms more in mileage but have termi's are asking roughly between 11-12k

That's what I expected. That's no mans land for most used vehicle purchases. Those ones haven't sold either which likely means the hammer price will be lower. Once you get over 10, that buyer pool is much smaller than around 5K (without financing available).

If the service is relatively fresh and you have 2 keys and manuals I would ask around $9000 and I think the bike would sell. It is the start of November though which isn’t great.

If the service is a couple years old then belts are due again because of age. At that point I would just trade it and move on.

Over 10 also opens a lot more bike options too for buyers.
