The Reasonably Priced Used Motorcycles for Sale Thread

only for Honda fanbois,
fairly rare bike with low km and good condition
may even be considered collectible to some ?

late 80's naked with alum frame, LC V twin and SSSA
would probably sell like hotcakes now
poor timing as the repli-racer things were all anyone wanted in the late 80's

I'm glad you think that $2800 is a good price for that thing... I'm soon selling a '89 for $3000 (mine comes with spares).
These were/are under rated bikes.
The first "naked", a couple of years before the Ducati Monsters.
It was designed by the guy that did the VFR as a design exercise
GP racer frame, moped motor. 60 odd HP and a 5 speed transmission... with a HUGE jump from 4th to 5th.

They didn't sell well here because they sat on the dealer floor beside the CBR600, which had 100HP and was only $250 more.
people that know the bike love them. I am told there was time when every motorcycle courier in Ireland rode one of these. the rest of the world know these bikes as a "Bro". There was a 400cc model, the little "bro" and we got the 650cc, the big "Bro". The ONLY difference was the piston size, everything else is the same.
This bike continued into 1991 in Japan, with a close ratio transmission
I have three of these. A stock one, a racer and a street hot rod.

I'm actually liking it

Unmolested NC31 = a rare find.
I've ridden one. Ok, but nuttin mind blowing about it. Plastic are like chocolate. Enjoyed the NC 27 (CB1 400) a lot more.

Love the Hawk but it needed a 6 speed transmission with better ratios. Lots of vibration at highway speeds but fun for cruising in town or backroad blasts. The styling is perfect for a naked bike.

Stumbled across this looking at 125 stuff. It's a year old and I wonder what prices would be today. Keep in mind it's from Texas and US dollars.

1997 Honda Shadow Ace 1100
$1000

Not bad I think

Never really like the look of a Katana.
Friend had a yellow one. I thought it was ugly.

curious why you say not original fairings? am i missing something?
may be painted. nicely.
1650 for an ugly bike w an inline 4 engine and decent wind protection. could do a lot worse for a person on a budget.

they're usually gixxer blue, or the occasional black, cant find a single purple one anywhere

NGL I liked the way the bubble Katanas looked.... especially in yellow. I also like the GSX1100S above though, and the GSX750S

weirdo lol
Well yeah. There's limits, though - there is not a single version of the Suzuki GS1150 that I think looks good

I had 4 of the 1982-3 Kat 750 over the years and one 1100. Still love the look but much chance of riding one very far these days.
