Oops, I thought it can be not a bad deal especially if price can be negotiated down to e.g. $4-4.2k (considering that it already includes "spring tax"). Looks like this bike doesn't need anything and ready to go. But I will leave it to the guys with more experience with the market

aaah, no, that does not happen, but seller sounds motivated and could be a good deal
otherwise the bike looks to be in decent shape, could be alright for a dude that likes to wrench

Always a little hesitant to buy bikes they no longer make
Says he lost the key, but ran last summer. Who cares, a CB for $300 would be a cheap entry point to build a custom. Even if it's a turd it can be parted out and make a nice profit...

I messaged him, I wanted to go down to look at it. just asked if he could send a clearer pic before I did (about an hour drive) and he said ok...I checked a few hours later and the ad was gone lol. I probably shouldn't have posted it here

Im thinking I agree thats a reasonable price for a 2014 636 with only 14k.
but it comes across as a track bike put back to street? perhaps this is why @ bigpoppa doesn't think its reasonably priced? puts me off too.

. It's never been on the track.SS is a tough time for selling due to people not being able to get insurance on SS lately

I don't know exactly what made me think it was a td bike. GB cover was one thing ? You gave a lot of information, and it gave me the feeling it was tracked before. SS is a tough time for selling due to people not being able to get insurance on SS lately

hey lj, do you have a place to wrench on a project bike? I would spend as little as possible to see if its a good runner, before spending dough on anything else. Clean tank, carbs, air filter; and hotwire it off the ignition switch terminals.
