The One That Got Away

I've had a few bikes over the years and for the most part enjoyed each one for its own merits but had no trouble letting it go for the next one. The one exception I wish I could have kept was my 1997 Honda CBR1100XX, aka Blackbird. That was one smooth bike. No regrets about what I got next and I couldn't afford to maintain and insure two bikes but damn, wish I could have.
So what bike do you wish you had hung onto?
And if you ever come across a '97 XX for sale, lemme know!

My first owned bike. 2000 R6. My buddy backed into it with his car and insurance wrote it off. I should have kept it and put it on the track. Fantastic bike

Had a YSR50 with a YZ 125 motor in it. Hand's down the most interesting and fun bike I've owned. Unfortunately it wouldn't start one night after work so I left it in the back shed and when I came back in the morning to get it it was gone. :-(

I still miss my little bandit 400.

Traded a nice 1984 GPZ550 for a very sano 1984 XL350R which I sold off very cheap couple years later. How do I know it was cheap? Because I got tons of voicemail, some of it screaming "DONT YOU EVER ANSWER THE *******PHONE!?" and the like. Regretted selling the Honda.

1992 or 1993 GSXR-400 RR.
and
1992 to 1994 RGV 250

I never had it, it was just a dream.

They had them, back in my home town, in a fancy store (only place that would sell them). I'd stop by sometimes and look at them (they kept them on the window).

I wish I could ride one, at least once.

1992 zx7r. Big heavy and compared to today's bikes slow but it was so awesome! Iconic sports bike. Sold it and it only took about a week to regret it. Repeated with a newer one. I'd still consider one if I could find an immaculate example like either that I've had.

Wrong thread for that info.

Back in '89, upgrading from a ninja 600 to a gsxr750... passed up a brand new, left over WW rg500 gamma!
Wasn't into 2 strokes back then, had I known then what I know now. DANG. :crybaby:
