The No-Tariff Motorcycle Gear Thread

It's certainly complicated, including MC stuff.

Jack Daniels is made with 100% Canadian grain (rye) according to a bit I heard on the radio.

Irish whiskey is aged in American-made barrels, that's what they told me at the Jameson distillery anyways.

As someone who comes from an agricultural small business background I have always looked at the country of origin, particularly on food. I've ALWAYS bought local, Ontario and Canadian (in that order) whenever there is a choice, even if it's more expensive, though beyond a few items it's not often more expensive.

As for businesses like chain restaurants, they're mostly franchises and are often owned locally. The guy behind the counter of a Subway is often the owner and works like a dog for countless hours and doesn't make much, relatively speaking. That said, I prefer independent restaurants and coffee shops.

My perspective has always been I'd rather enrich my neighbor (extending across the country) first.

Funny thing in Europe and Asia you are hard pressed to find a T-Shirt in any of the dealers. mostly all gear and bikes

Harley dealers in Europe have lots of T-Shirts, I have several from the UK and Spain.

Need to add Crappy tire to the list for batteries! I know, I know everyone hates on crappy tire. But I have a small battery collection most of which came from old bikes that were dead and neglected for years. I find the yuasa batteries usually can't be revived but the crappy tire ones I have been amazed that they can be revived and work great after being left unused for over a year or longer. I have a couple that simply will not die? Not promoting them in any way, I don't even think that would be my first choice for purchasing one! 🤷🏻‍♂️
