Who among us has a bike they've ridden over a 100,000 km's? I know there are a few such as myself, VTom, and Jay V ( http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/archives/showthread.php?120525-Turned-over-100-000kms-tonight )

Here are my pics from my CBR600 F2 from 2008:

how many seasons it take you?? I'm at 60k on my 09, should be at 100k in about 2 more seasons or so...

my Katana is sitting at 76k. if I keep it I'll have it over 100k next season I ride it(2014 when I get back from riding NZ)

My 2001 F4i rolled over 100,000km. I got it with 25,000km on it and sold it to a friend at 105,000km.

Bought my 2000 Shadow Ace 750 off of Minidisco with 27K on it. I sold it to my brother with 99K. He rolled 100 and then sold it shortly after. I've put 44K on my ST. I put miles on a lot slower now.

100K? Geez, who's got time to ride that much?!?

Ha ha ha, look who's talking about not having time to ride! I guess now that you've stopped for 2 weeks you're missing it already! Quit procrastinating on GTAM & get back to your Spanish homework, Lol! I get it, I'm lousy with languages too.

I haven't commented on your thread, but I'm seriously impressed with what you are doing. Keep it up. Great shots! I would have figured that you guys would be close to 100,000 kms. How many so far on the trip/bikes?

My '86 ZG1000 Concours. Had it for almost 11 years.

2003 Yamaha FJR1300, just turned 202,000 a week before it started to snow.,...bought in 05 with 5,000 kms on it.

Count me in, bought my Virago 1100 new in Aug '97, rolled the odometer in July 2011 at Mount Mariah, Newfoundland on a cross Canada trip.

I have taken two bikes beyond 100,000 km. Coincidentally, both had almost the same total on them at the time of sale.

First one ... 1987 Kawasaki Ninja 750R. The second motorcycle I ever owned ... the first one after the beginner bike (which was a Honda 450 Nighthawk). Bought that one new non-current in 1989 from Two Wheel Motorsports. That's the bike that I rode to BC then California and back in 1990, and it crossed 50,000 km somewhere in Colorado on the way home.

At around 80,000 km, it ate a camshaft (that engine had some design issues with the camshaft and ball-pivot rocker arm design). At a little over 100,000 km, I had Competition Wheels rebuild the engine. Then, in 1994 at around 118,000 km, I traded it in, to Competition Wheels, for ...

Second one. 1994 Kawasaki ZX9R. This was the first generation ZX9R (the one that Red Zeder has is a 2nd generation - and I know of a couple other members of this forum that have put high mileage on a second-generation ZX9R).

This one took me a little longer - 10 years - to reach the same mileage ... 118,000 km. The clutch went at around 105,000 km, and in the last season of ownership, at around 112,000 km IIRC, it blew the head gasket ... this particular engine design was known for blowing head gaskets because it was a bored out ZX7R engine, and the cylinder walls were too thin. I helped one other guy diagnose an overheating issue with his, with much lower mileage ... same issue. Somewhere around that time, I also wore out the brake rotors and the front brake calipers. Anyhow, it was starting to let me know that it was time to get some thing new, which just happened to coincide with Kawasaki building a bike that interested me more than this one, and I sold it at the time that I bought my 2004 ZX10R.

Oh, forgot to mention, I had 325,000 on my Yamaha FJ1200, before I traded it in, 145,000 on a Yamaha 850 Special and just under 100,000 kms on my Yamaha RD350, guess that makes me a Yammi guy.....
