The Bible

is it in the fiction, or non-fiction section ?

It's a manual. So, more a self help book.

With a bible an individual can retain control of a group by fear. Long past his (his, because women don't have a voice in the bible) usefullness and contrary to the natural order of things.

It's probably the best cult leader handbook of all time.

well, they must be based on some sort of truth. i dont know who owns the publishing rights to the bible, but i bet they are doing ok off it.

Some sort of truth? Scholars have been having a pretty hard time finding much of that. The bible is what happens when you get a bunch of illiterate, uneducated goat herders together for a gossip session and it gets out of hand: "I saw a big wave" "Oh yeah...well I saw a tidal wave" "well **** you all...I saw a guy cause the tidal wave...pass the cheap roman wine".

filled with murder, liars, slavery, adultery, extreme violence

didnt know Tarantino was involved with this story
Wasnt there a prostitute who loved the Messiah too? I heard there was an illegitimate child of Jesus. The knights templar was on a hunt to kill that child. There were text who mentioned that but I'm sure the church shut that down. The scrolls found in the cave also had more to the bible but I never heard about it again.

I was watching a show on great military tactics. They said the story of Moses is he have been a great commander, he was familiar with the area & knew when the tide was high & low. He timed the tide & secretly led his people thru without being detected. To the enemy it felt as if he parted the ocean & led his people thru.

My point is some of these stories are probably a distortion of an actual story

A bartender walks into a church, a temple, and a synagogue.
He has no idea how jokes work.:lmao:

They aren't stories based on fact.

They are parables.

specifically : a usually short fictitious story that illustrates a moral attitude or a religious principle.

Jesus is on the cross and Judas comes to see him looking for forgiveness. Jesus whispers "come closer Judas"..OK says Judas... "closer" says Jesus....OK says Judas...."closer" says Jesus in a whisper..."OK messiah, what is it" says Judas hoping for words to forgive him.."you can see my house from here you bastard" says Jesus.
