Your ASV's are sexy. You can see from the pic that they don't step the lever as far back from the pivot point, so it makes sense it would sit much farther from the bar then the ones I posted.

My bike is the picture whore. He loves his pic being taken. ;)

The adjustment on the ASVs is quite crazy. All the way in, you can have them about 1" from the bar. Way too close for me, but would be great for someone with really tiny hands.
 
I also have the ASV shorties on mine and I much prefer them over the OEM's.
Crazy adjustable and look gorgeous...

I thought it was for the mode selection, but I could be wrong.

Correction: it flicks the highbeam on and off. I've seen them on the British bikes (e.g., Triumph), but I guess Suzuki decided to have them as well.

My bike is an 06, the mode selection didn't exist until 08+ on the 600/750's...
