While my bike was parked in Mississauga at Lakeshore & HWY 10 some scumbag decided it would be nice to cut the strap on my helmet and steal it from my helmet lock on my bike.

If the theif is reading this I'd love for you to grow a spine and come see me in person. PM me for my phone number and meeting location.

I'm soooooo ******!

Probably some punk-azz kid not knowing he rendered it useless by cutting the strap. That sucks bigtime, sorry to hear.

Yep, some kid is now wearing it on his bmx. Punks!!!. I have had so many people "hang around" my bike I now bring all my gear with me.

I don't understand why people leave their helmet on their bike..

I never leave anything on my bike, you just never know. Well you didn't know, but you do now. Sorry to hear but I hope others learn from this.

That area of Mississauga has an inordinate percentage of eastern european residents. Maybe a gypsy thing to steal....?

That sucks. Sorry about your loss and the feeling of victimization that goes with it.

I doubt it was a punk kid. Most uninformed folks don't realize all you need to take a helmet from a helmet lock is a sharp knife and to restore it to full use a needle and thread. I'm betting it was a motorcyclist.

I'm not trying to crap on your sorrow but I really don't get why people leave equipment worth hundreds of dollars sitting on the street with a piece of cloth tying it to their vehicle and are surprised to find it taken.

And I'm sure you don't mean that in a racist, bigoted way. (That's sarcasm).

Sorry to hear bud. Here's a hell of a deal to take the sting away if you're an XL. There's only one left. With our dollar at $1.04, you'll get it at that price tax-in. $15 shipping:

The RSX is a terrific helmet FWIW. Saved my noggin and was comfy and not very noisy.

Couple of good lids here, too:

My wife has the EXO 700 and loves it (Scorpions don't fit me though). Excellent price for a good helmet.

i never unserstood leaving the bike on the helmet, just bring it with you! Besides the stealing if it, it could rain and get soaked, somebody could put some crap in there, just makes no sense.

Sorry about the helmet though!

Really. Why would you want to risk scratching up your helmet by leaving the bike on top of it? Besides, it seems like a lot of trouble to get the bike balanced right on top of a helmet.

Leaving the bike on the helmet would definitely destroy it, it would crush it. And bringing the bike in with you would be hard, as most businesses do not allow motorcycles to be brought in.

:)

that sucks!!! I always take my helmet with me for two reasons:
1. so that an a**hole doesn't steal it.
2. to let chicks know that i ride a bike ;)

Sorry to hear about what happened to you. I only leave my lid on the bike when I know there's a bunch of riders hanging around.. Otherwise, always take it with me. RSX is an excellent lid if it fits your noggin. Talk to Rob at Pannon as I got mine in the $300 all in ballpark from him. I am not sure if he has anything like that now.

Sucks man. I always bring my gear with me for this reason.

You never know who's out there.
