For those saying cash in hand, what about motorcycles that are more than a few thousand? I get bringing cash if it's a cheaper bike, but would you expect someone to show up with 5k+ in cash?

if you're bringing a large amount of cash, bring someone with you

keys to your car with a photo of your license will do just fine.
 
My ad on here and Kijiji says no test pilots. But if i know you, of course it will be different.
 
First world problems. Some people get married for life without even seeing the bride, but we worry about buying used motorcycle untested .

I had 2 buyers who refused test drives - they never rode the bike before.

That’s fine. If the guy has a stolen car and fake ID and walks with my property then Imo I took reasonable precautions and that’s why I have insurance.
