Tea is hotter than coffee

FYI the McDonald's case is also rarely reported with the whole story. They had been cited several times for coffee that was way too hot to serve. The woman burned had to have reconstructive surgery and spent a lot of time in the hospital getting skin grafts. There's always more to the story than meets the eye. ;)

The coffee was too hot but also she never got anywhere close to $5M. Too boring for the media so another urban myth.

I hate these frivolous lawsuits. Number one it's what gets lawyers a bad name, number two it puts the idea into some people's heads for easy paydays that often have an effect on the rest of society (read selfish mother ****ers, insurance hikes etc).

If you don't think that tea or coffee might be hot and take appropriate care you're dumb. This is akin to running with scissors...people do it but it could turn out bad and if it does you would know why.

You've never worked in a kitchen of a restaurant. People are in a rush & somebody thinks its a good idea to walk with their knife
