TAX TIME - Do you have a good tax accountant?

Just as the title says, do you have a good tax accountant? My guy stopped doing only tax only clients to focus on his investment business. I usually paid him about $200 and he would do a great job with my tax return, as well as handle any audits that followed.

Last thing I want is to take a chance with someone who messes up my taxes, causing me to get less money back and have the CRA bite me in the ***!

I am in the GTA so if you know of a great tax guy, please recommend!

Do you have very complicated taxes?

Like do you have rollovers/capital gains exemption/SR&D credits for a small business/dividend income from CCPCS as well as non CCPCs? Etc??/ Trust income/ Partnership income

Or do you really just havea T4 / T5?

He's looking at the computer right now

Pretty basic, but I've had bad experiences with places like HnR block in the past.

I got my T4, company stock account, RRSP's, personal stock account, tuition, daycare fees, sports fees which I paid for my son and that's about it.

I do it myself. Its a pain in the butt but save me some coin. I don't have all the other miscellaneous items tho

PM sent, I will never take my chances again doing it myself or use those $35 services, I had bad experiences in the past.

If thats what you have. I actually would recomend doing it yourself or HR block. While HR block aren't the best tax professionals. If they screw up they defend you like mad. I can give up an example of them going to court 3 times because they made a 300 dollar mistake on someone's taxes that caused a 8000 penalty.

I personally do my taxes myself, but thats because I use the ITA as my pillow.
