Talk about ugly

View attachment 54536New Harley...just my opinion but......who designed this ugly POS.
Are we really still trying to bash this? Or just not a HD fan at all?
Have you seen it in person?

And we already have other posts with opinions on this

It has grown on me, but I like the GS and the KTM Adventure bikes too.

It is not as refined as the GS but you have to give them points for this first attempt with some nice innovations like the hydraulic lifters and the adaptive ride height option.

Hopefully they will keep some customers in their brand as it was designed to do.

They are not going to convince diehard GS or KTM Adventure riders to cross over but hopefully they will keep some HD customers in their brand as it was designed to do.

I think what you are seeing it the side profile of the mirror and the hand guards lined up, it looks a little strange though.

Not sure about that, HD ate both BMW snd KTMs lunches last year in North America - more PanAms were sold than GS and 1290 combined. Not bad for a bike that only shipped for half a model year.

It will take another year to see whether HD can retain the #1 spot this year.

Ugly? Looks ain't everything. I put a deposit on one last year. Terrible experience. Customer service didn't exist at that dealer. Very happy i bought the Tenere.
That's the Achilles heel for HD, dealerships that don't provide the levels of customer service expected by customers.

It's great that the bikes sold out, it's bad that new potential customers looked elsewhere because of their dealer experience.

I wonder how you would feel about HD if things played out better for you and they put one under you.

Good point. My biggest concern would be reliability on extended trips.i have seen quite a few bad reviews of the HD. Haven't seen one negative review of the Tenere. Now i just need the balls to try it out.

Are looks the first thing you guys consider on a bike? I'd be lying if I said I didn't care about looks at all, but it's definitely not the most important thing to me. Things like performance, features, reliability, comfort, fit and finish all come before looks. I'd still buy an ugly bike if it checks all the other boxes, but I'd never buy a good looking bike if it was lacking in another important area.
