Tablet / e-reader suggestions

If you want to read on it get a E-ink reader not a tablet. E-ink readers are much easier on the eyes. I have a Kobo touch I use for reading and a Playbook I use for media.

You are right, no lcd tablet can compare to eink displays for reading text. The issue with eink is that you need an accessory light if you want to read at nigh, I don't know of any eink tablits that are backlit.

Saying that, I have zero issues reading on my iPad3. The text is clean and crisp and I can read for hours on end without getting sore eyes. It also has the advantage of working really well with downloaded magazine pdf's, which is the majority of reading I do on the iPad.

After playing with my Galaxy note 10.1, watching tutorials on it, I'm amazed how good it is. Yes it's expensive, but worth every penny in my book.

Do not get a playbook!!! Waste of money. The iPad is the best tablet hands down but the best bang for your buck will be the Google tablet (if you don't mind a 7 inch screen), then the Samsung galaxy tab 2 is a close runner up. Good luck.

the ipad is the best, lmfao, some how I doubt that, and the tab isn't as good as the note 10.1.
