Swerving left and right in a single lane

That's at any intersection, and any such swerving would be quite limited in duration.

What would you call such swerving if it were to be done by someone in a Smart car or early Civic, both small cars who could do the same within the lane marker lines? It would be considered stupid if done out of "boredom" or any other unnecessary reason. Same applies to knobs on bikes.

It's funny how you generally seem to take your own opinion as "fact".
I guess it must be stupid, Griff2 said so. Lol

Imo only thing it does is make you more visable-hey what the hell is that person doing?

Can we combo a heating up tires thread with a gear and a wave question? Perfect trifecta!

Weaving back and forth, while waving the peace sign in the air like you're riding a bull wearing ***-less chaps. That'll get their attention!

the only riders I have seen doing this happen to be riding Ninja 250/300's.

I'm doing it 24/7 when I ride now just to piss off the cranky old guys who likely don't ride.

LOL, I fully support this.

Really? All I see are SS's doing it - rarely small cc bikes. Likely cause they're newer riders scared to pull off this complex stunt.

Saw a Goldwing on 401 doing it yesterday in slowish moving traffic (about 30 kmh)

Was the rider able to scrape their pipes while doing it? :lmao:

SO i have a 500 and do it, am i like in the middle of all that between the 250s, 600s and the goldwings

I do it because I can not ride properly. Lol.
I do it to make myself visible to anybody at intersections, traffic lights, etc. When I see them I wave a thank you and if they return the courtesy then perhaps they did see me and it made a difference.

"Roomie" you are funny.

I'll do it to bleed off some speed rather than touch the brakes.

lol I like this answer

As for heating the tires... based on what I've read, swerving will generate heat due to friction but it's not very efficient at it. Repeated hard acceleration and hard braking do a better job at building up carcass temperature.
