Police arent allowed to chase motorcyclists in Canada, are they ?
There's no doubt the police will take their frustration out on those of us that had nothing to do with this.
Let's hope drivers don't take their frustrations on riders that has nothing to do with this. There's no doubt the police will take their frustration out on those of us that had nothing to do with this.
I remember seeing one a few months ago, on the news: a driver hitting a rider and few riders being interviewed; that segment endend on a good note of positive awareness. I will look for the link and send it to you. When was the last time there was a positive awareness campaign?
Two police cars were with them seemingly like an escort, but I suppose there is nothing they could have done without causing an injury or a riot.
"There is now yet another reason for cagers who hate motorcyclists to intentionally take us out."Likely taking plates of as many as they can in hopes to nab a few.
If they were to light them up, people wills start blaming police for "stupidly chasing motorcyclists and causing them to act in a dangerous manner"...

I could see a lot of filtering leading to stunting charges because of this.

Exactly what I'm saying! Hopefully it doesn't get to that point!
I also saw them at lakeshore Eastbound at Bathurst. 1:20pm
They were splitting lanes, using oncoming lanes, doing wheelies, running the red light in a procession like a funeral.

About 150 bikes would be my guess.
Idiots.
same thing looks like it happened here.. towards the end there's a cop car and they're pulling wheelies next to him..

About the cause, we should have a peace protest against that type of behaviour: I'm thinking a riding rally where we dont go higher than 50 km/h on the 401 to show we're not reckless that should get the respect from cagers. You can decide for the color of ribbon.
You are right, public perception had always been that way for ages however I think starting the conversation and sending positive message and stand out while other groups are doing reckless behaviour should be enough to get the conversation going. That's a first step toward a change to public perception imo.
Ride for sightWhen was the last time there was a positive awareness campaign?
I'm hoping most guys/gals showed up for the ride, behaved themselves (other than red lights but whatever), and a few started stunting and gave the ride some bad publicity.
I don't think it's fair to judge them all as a group
These are lovely videos The brush people paint with will be just a little wider now
I am very fond of some of the videos popping up of people making videos where they are riding like idiots and then on another video in their channel, the have DIY videos adding a part to their bike showing their face, license plate etc.... takes a genius I tell ya
It's a bit too late for that. Thanks to the Media, perception is reality. Proof being that article from CP24 ... Might have to do a little survey to the public too.I'm hoping most guys/gals showed up for the ride, behaved themselves (other than red lights but whatever), and a few started stunting and gave the ride some bad publicity.
