SVeezy’s New Ride

I can’t let Evo have all the fun around here. Just picked up a new (to me) FZ09 on the weekend. I love it and can’t wait to rack up the kilometres!

On the other side I’m going to sell the SV which has been a great bike and I’ve had a lot of great rides on it. I hate to see it go but it just doesn’t make sense to keep both. I’ve often considered having a second bike, or more, but it would be of a different variety. Perhaps an enduro or dual sport at some point.

Maybe I have to change my handle to FZeezy now! Jk

congrats, one of the best engines on the planet
What year is it?

Also pics please

Congrats.

Another Yamaha rider. (y)

Welcome to the triple club. An ecu flash will fix the fueling. Matt @ speedlabs in Newmarket has done lots of these. You may be able to negotiate a dyno run as well.

Keep it on TC2 unless you like high wheelies.

The ECU flash is one of the tasteful mods already completed but I do appreciate the input for sure.

I’ve been riding in STD mode and TC1 for the most part with a bit of A mode to test her out. She definitely has no problem picking the wheel up!

After I got over having fun STD was my go to.

Hubby's trying to get me to sell my 07 and buy an 09...I'm thinking too much bike for my style of riding...congratulations on the new wheels...

Thanks fiddles! Honestly the FZ is tame when you want it to be IMO as long as you have experience/restraint. I haven’t even tried the subdued B mode. It could however be a monster in the wrong hands. Hoping that never happens to me.

its a popular bike but its the same color and year as the one I had
You can read the vin off his pic if you want to check.

That is a pretty stout cage. Conceptually, I like that much better than the stupid spindly frame sliders.

Where are you located BP?

GG the cage is definitely functional. I’m not 100% on it just yet as it does seem a little bulky (never had a bike with one before) but if I do drop the bike I’m sure I will appreciate it. Also I’m sure I’ll get used to it after a few more rides.

Edit: I’ve never been overly concerned about the VIN or plates showing in pics, people can see those on the road or in a parking lot everyday.

I wasn't concerned about the VIN, it was just an easy way for BP to see if that was his old bike without playing 20 questions.
