Suzuki's Future in Canada

Based on? Poor sales?

Is there some thought out there that Suzuki may fade out their dealerships in the future, similar to what they did with their automobiles ?
I doubt it. As long as there is business in the Excited States there will continue to be business in Canada.
Motorcycles seem to have stalled, but ATVs and outboards are still big business.
Historic clarification - when Suzuki was getting out of the car business here (2007 ?) , the idea was to continue with GM selling rebadged product, same with Johnson and the outboards. Then the recession hit, GM said no thanks and Johnson/Evinrude was bought by Bombardier and folded the lot. So Suzuki was left holding the bag.

Been getting my generic parts at the Honda dealer, because it's closer than the Suzuki dealer.

I don't think Suzuki will fade to the point of MV Agusta.

They still sell a lot of bikes....last two years they've sold every offroad vehicle they can make....and they still sell lots of sv's and the V-stroms.

So has everyone else - supply and demand. Suzuki sells on price compared to the competition.

Exactly...they keep models without changes for longer.....so their tooling/engineering costs are lower. Most of their line up is old engines repurposed in new wrapping. Which is fine. We need cutting edge....but we also need inexpensive and reliable. Is the 650 vstrom the best in class? Nope. But that thing is bulletproof and cheap to run/insure. Not my taste but who cares. I hope they keep selling well. More options/competition is good for the market. Not everyone can be/needs to be Ducati/BWM.
