Suzuki GS500f

It's not just the bulbs that you'll be buying. You also need either the resistors or the "digital" turn signal relay to replace your existing thermal turn signal relay. Otherwise your blinkers will be way too fast. That's how you get over $25. If you do your research, you can even find the relay, which is plug and play (i.e. has the same connector as the original relay). I found mine on ebay for around 20 bucks.

the bulbs on superbrightleds are plug and play, no need to buy resistors.

I had nothing better to do today, so I tinkered with the bike. Sabex, you'll find this interesting.

I had to pop off the top triple to remove the OEM mounting brackets, and then I put these ones on (http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...versal-Headlight-Bracket.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch). The headlight mounts through the first hole, and then the turn signals onto the second, so they are about even height. I then mounted Woodcraft clipons under the top triple, just above the headlight bracket. The problem I'm facing now is the turn signals almost interfere with the clutch and brake levers, so I'll have to order smaller aftermarket indicators.

It has a stupidly aggressive feel to it now. My back and wrists were destroyed after 30 minutes, but I had the biggest smile on my face so it's staying this way

I am in for the meetup and upgrades. Let me know when you guys want to meet. My work place on Saturday by Yonge and StClair is empty. Lots of space to work(entire parking lot), load of tools and nobody to interfere with work, Sabex was there last Saturday.

Cool I ordered some LED's from that site a little bit ago to replace my current instrument panel lights but didn't think of replacing the turn signals and other lights but now that I think of it they are very hard to see sometimes. Hope you guys have fun I'm still practicing riding and smoothly shifting gears and so on.... so I dont really think I could go to downtown just yet maybe in a week or two I'll feel more confident anyways its great your doing this as a group effort woot!

TRICKY i have a 2006 gs500f and wanted to get the integrated led taillight. where did you get yours from ??? I'm looking to get asap .. was the install easy ???????

I installed clip-on handlebars underneath my top triple. In order to do that, I had to remove the stock headlight/indicator mounts. Instead of taking off the forks to do that, I unbolted the old handlebars (4 bolts) to gain some slack with the cables, and then took out the steering stem bolt. Then I lifted up the whole instrument cluster/top plate assembly, and slipped off the stock headlight mounts. I then put it back together, and installed the new aftermarket headlight/indicator mounts http://www.motorcycle-superstore.co...versal-Headlight-Bracket.aspx?WT.ac=SLIsearch (you don't need to remove the top plate for these ones). Then I just moved the controls from the old handlebars to the clip-ons.

I personally don't mind the looks, but I can see how some wouldn't like it. But it's function over form for me.

The old handlebar mounting spot looks weird. I might eventually get a small section of 7/8 inch bar and mount a GPS there.

hah wow thats pretty cool.

i got drag bars on mine, not too bad i like it.

what i want and what i like is the ducati style handlebars, the come up a little but dont pull back. i dont know if the make aftermarket ones like that

i got the k&n filter,
katana rear shock (big difference)
rejetted my carbs,
changed to 15t sprocket,
installed ignition advancer

i got front shock, havent had a chance to put them on yet.

i am also going to put bar end mirrors.

if any of you guys need parts let me know, i have lots, i got rotors, complete brake assemblies, levers, solenoids, fenders, buncha stuff.

Thanks.
They work good?

Can't complain. They are slightly convex so I can see everything behind me with only the left side mirror. The right side blindspot is a bit bigger because I'm only using the left... but I'm a chronic shoulder-checker anyway so the mirror is just there as an aid

Nice. I think I'd have to leave the right on. I use the right mirror the most (always tryin' to be in the fast lane~) and with my mirror setup it shows whats to my right and behind me.

Anyways, I'd wanna keep them both just for aesthetics, a bike with only 1 mirror looks a little funny to me. I'll look into getting some for when I streetfight.
