I've always used 30-35mm for a street bike, and 25-30mm for a track/race bike. Around a third of the overall suspension travel. I usually set my front and back the same(within 2-3mm).the first video is the most clear and simple, watch them all and then watch them again! set your sag now. don't wait until the last week before you do your td. do it early at your leisure - you dont want to stress about this the night before your trackday. sag should generally be 30-40 mm. and ball park, sag on the front should be about 5mm or more than on the rear - but not less than 4mm more - others may want to chime in on these numbers.

I have always used the racetech method for measuring sag:

Andrew Trevitt's book is a great read and I would highly recommend it for something looking to start adjusting their own suspension.

I got mine from Accelerated Technologies if you want to buy local.
The racetech suspension bible is pretty dry but also a bit more technical once you get your head around the major concepts.

Dave Moss' videos are very informative although I do find he can contradict himself at times.
