Supersport time...

Mileage means nothing. Anyone can get on a highway and ride around and gain mileage - doesn't mean they're skilled by any means.
 
He was kicked out of the gta 250 group for bashing people and for posting a rip for a fellow rider that he thought should be dead. Kid has some growing up to do or he's gonna be beat bad one of these days.

No ****, gotta love the gtam drama. That guy did seem pretty confrontational from what I saw with the tow truck kid on here a few months back.

Hey people calm down a bit. That rider e90 made "RIP" comments about was me. It was meant as a joke, from him to me. Now i was quite surprised that the 250 group guys took it so literally and got all this started. From what i saw the guy who started the bashing on e90 for the "RIP" remark apologized and said he kind of took it too far for no reason.

Just let it be. He was simply asking valid questions on this thread but some of you had to start again.
 
I'm not starting anything, just trying to piece together all the crap I missed out on. And don't forget where you are. The place where no thread may stay on track from beginning to end lol
 
In all my years of buying/selling used vehicles the buyer has always been the one that got the UVIP.

I know the seller is supposed to supply this but I've never been offered it when buying or offered it when selling. I just consider it another 20$ tax when it's paperwork time at the license bureau.

That said I did once manage squeeze 20$ off the price when the seller didn't have it.
 
Don't know why ppl are bothering to answer all these questions.... They have been answered 100 times over! USE THE SEARCH BUTTON. Talk about lazy...
 
OP if you can still read this here's my 2 cents. You didn't listen to any of my previous advice but hey, here it is anyways.

After a couple months of riding on the street with your 250 you've only began to scratch the surface of riding a motorcycle. Although ive never been on a ride with you my guess would be that you've got plenty to learn.

In previous threads i believe you've said that you overshot corners, received a speeding ticket and found yourself riding like a maniac.

The above will get you in trouble on a 250, get on a 600 and instead of going 60 into a corner that you should have been doing 40 to make safely with your skill level, you will enter it at 120. The results of this, and ive seen it plenty of times, are not something that you ever want to experience and unfortunately most riders will only get to make this mistake once. There is no reset button or getting it right next time...

Your attitude and approach to riding however is what is the most concerning. I don't think you have the maturity to ride a 600 in a responsible way, and there's only 2 ways this can end for you. 1. you lose your license and bike 2. you wreck

I don't wish any of this on you and i hope that im 100% wrong, however odds are against you.

I quit going on group rides years ago because every other time someone would go down and get hurt even after others have told them to take it easy and relax. Last year i went on one short group ride and just like before minutes into the ride the entire highway came to a stand still with bike parts scattered everywhere and the rider leaving in an ambulance.

woah.. sorry to revive this but I have to... I'll play nice and take "self-centered" but racist.. I won't have that tarnish my fine GTAM reputation? As far as my RIP joke for my good friend, clearly the level of humour on here has slipped to dangerously low levels. I will adjust my comments to more forum-friendly formats.

Anyway... the 250 is almost sold and the 600 has almost been bought. I got a test ride on one quite recently and all I can say is wow.. ridiculous.

I will already admit that it's not as fun as a 250 as it isn't as easy to get low on. I could easily scrape my boots on the 250 at 30-40km/h.. it's so not the same on the 600. But it's a different kind of fun for sure.. and I will remember to be responsible on it. I have a young family now and I intend to be there for the long-run.





Paul - despite my shenanigans on here I'm not as bad as I come across. I have a lot to live for and life has just taken a turn for the better for me. I don't intend to lose my life/license over a bike. I'll be a good boy on it. Although yes, I've made mistakes on the 250, I've learned a lot from them and hope to really increase my skill level on the 600. I will be loving the commute from North York to Mississauga though, since I don't have to be bouncing off the limiter on the highway.

But...god-damn 7 thousand rpm... jesus christ..

A couple of further notes -

  • it is the seller's responsibility to provide the Vehicle Information Package. IMHO, any buyer would be crazy to hand over the money without seeing this. They could be buying a vehicle to which liens are still attached, or has been branded as salvage (in which case, it cannot be licensed.)
  • unless you know the person really well, you might want to accompany the buyer to the License Office and get the ownership of the vehicle changed immediately. If you do not, and the buyer does not change the ownership, then as far as the MTO knows, you are still the legal owner. This could have repercussions down the road if the new owner is involved in a collision (This happened to someone I know.) If you choose not to do this, then as a minimum, you should notify the MTO if the vehicle is sold.

As the seller, you need to accompany the buyer to the license office and see that everything is switched over.
I got into a large SNAFU, when I sold my car with a wrecked engine, to my ex-boss.
He dropped a new engine in it and put it back on the road with dealer plates and no change in ownership.
Fortunately, he only abandoned it on the highway a couple of years later, so that a towing company called me with a $2,500 storage fee, and not the police with an arrest warrant.
