Supershow...Whatcha buy?

I bought an AGV helmet from GP bikes, great deal!
 
Got a Suomy lid from GP Bikes...boy have I been missing out.

Almost bought the 2006 R6 from Suzuki of Newmarket, but their sales guy totally turned me off of making the deal.
 
I bought 2 tickets to the show
 
picked up an s w motech engine guard for my KLR.
 
I was only able to spend $4.50 inside as usual on those amazing ice cream dipped in chocolate and peanuts on a stick.

The real deal was had in the parking lot, where I bought a used great condition Akrapovic EVO full system for $800 off a member of this site. And sold a set of rotors to another for $120.

I saw that bike and thought it was a pretty decent deal for those looking for an older R6. I believe they were asking $4888 and it had about 13 000kms. I was at the show on Friday afternoon and it was pretty busy, today must have been a zoo.

If you want to display your bike in the March show, enter after this show is over. They are always looking for bikes to fill out the display floor, even if your bike is a crusty old ratter. You get a free weekend pass when you enter.

DISPLAY YOUR BIKE without competing for Show Awards. No Entry Fee / No Judging / Entries receive Participation Pin. Requirements: Fill out and sign the entry form, check off Level 1, and enclose photos of your entry.
Level 2
Enter your Bike in REGULAR SHOW BIKE COMPETITION. Entries compete for Showbike Awards and Cash Awards only against other Level 2 entries in your class. Entry Fee: $20 per entry (Vintage $10) (HST included). Requirements: Fill out and sign the entry form, check off Level 2, enclose photos of your entry with $20 Entry Fee (cash, money order or certified cheque). Entry fee must be enclosed or entry will be re-classified as Level 1. See back page for Class Breakdown.

It was an excellent deal, but the sales guy was such a prick and on top of that wouldn't budge on the price I figure why pay a dealer for it when something similar will be on Kijiji. He wouldn't even budge on the "admin fee" and literally laughed off my offer of 4500 all in. It did end up selling, but at the end of the day I don't feel like I missed out. I would've done 5000 all in + storage, but 4900+tax+admin at the bike show? No.

I bought a set of fitted leathers from Velocity and a set of tires from Pro6 for the Aprilia. And that's about it... regretting having a solid black track helmet now that the patterned helmets have dropped drastically in price, but not so much that I'm going to shell out for a new one when I have a spare as it is.

Oh and ++ for Suomy, I've had mine for three seasons now and still like it both for looks and for comfort.

Yes very legit club racing.

Anyone of us that race has to obtain a license, register for the race weekend, there is a qualifying race on Saturday for grid placement and the race is on Sunday.
