Super expensive vespa insurance, does this seem correct?

Zero experience on the road + a bike (it's a scooter but it still has two wheels and a motor) as your first road vehicle? You're lucky it's under 2k a year to be honest.

Just out of curiosity, does my address in the insurance has to match the address on my m1 license? Im' Thinking to put my parents address which is in Cambridge. My address in my M1 is a toronto address.

That falls under fraud. Gotta be careful when considering doing stuff like this to save some cash.

Given that you've already quoted under your toronto address, if you try again with a cambridge one, i'm sure they'll question it.

Older rider here, clean record, licensed for ages. Thought of getting a Rukus scooter and was quoted $900.00 for basics. Ended that thought.

That's ridiculous. I pay almost half that for a scooter. ($480/yr) Did change postal codes, now starts with an L and not an M.

Same address 30 years. Goodbye Echelon.

Where in the "L" did you move to? :)

I also live downtown and I'm high risk right now with a serious conviction.. You oughta be able to do a bit better but not much. I'm a few years younger than you but I've had my G for a long time and have just gotten my M2 again in December when I got my policy, I ended up insuring my Honda C70, they wanted 3k+ for a 74' CB125 or a new Gromm. I said f*** it. Get your license, take the course, shop around as much as you can, practice riding as much as you can, keep your record clean and either bite the bullet and drop a stack or two apparently on insurance for the vespa or something even smaller so you can start building your driving/insurance record or go back at it next season..
ps. the vespa could be steep for coverage because of a high claim rate/replacement value? maybe try a comparable old Honda? lol
