Sub-Compact Tractor

A sell propelled blower may be needed either way to do close up of the buildings as well as laneways.
Already have a small blower for around the house and walkways.

Settled on the Kubota BX1880 with turf tires, front blower and belly mower.
While most likely not my only sub compact tractor it's a good start.

No love for the Indian tractors?
Are they any good?
What is a Indian Tractor?
Kubota is made in Georgia, US, Canada HQ in Pickering.

Mahindra mostly
I live in green country... but the New Holland dealer has these Mahindra tractors. The Kabota dealer has Sonalika (sp?)I wondered if anyone has heard of them. They're half the price of a green tractor, and the Indians like them... don't know how an Indian snow blower would work out.....
Chinese excavators sorta work, and they're half price... god forbid you need parts....

Ah. I heard good things in regards to Mahindra, the dealer by me sells Kubota so easy choice and good support, warranty etc. They also deliver and come to you for service.
By green do you mean JD? If yes, expect to pay more for the name and they use Ysnmar engines..

Kubota has a deal until November 30. on some models.
0 down and 0 percent for 84 months. Just a FYI

Mahindra has a good name and I think yanmar engines as well. Not sure if they have a USA plant Kubota does as well as LS which is the industrial arm of LG.

Sent from the future

Many tractor brands use Ysnmar engines, so safe to assume they are well made.

I think your next tractor purchase will be the heated cab option for the BX.

At 12k it would be a tough sale, and would suck in warmer months. At least that's my opinion.
I may look at adding a front loader to my sale if the price is fair.

Any cab is brutal in the summer. It's like being in a fishbowl, in the sun.

For winter operations just wear some insulated coveralls and a snowmobile helmet if your blowing snow.

It seems like a good reason to justify some heated riding gear. If it also works on the bike, that's a bonus. You bought it for snowblowing if your partner asks.

I'll pass on heated gear, to much hassle imo.
I think a good jacket and overalls will do.
While I was prepared for the expense, it still stings.

Well found this interesting.

If a person finances a sub-compact tractor (or larger) even for ONLY personal use and it never leaves the property, you are required to have insurance for it. Some home policies will allow coverage for this or you can get stand alone tractor insurance. Also, you can not use the tractor for business use. You need a different policy for that.

Found this out while having a conversation with the dealership as Kubota is offering 0% financing for 6 years. So I thought I'd look into that a possible option.

I wonder how many people get it for one month to secure financing then cancel it?
