LOL, he sure knows alot about his bike

So I personally had the honour of talking on the phone with this TOOL in the fall when I was looking for a new bike for next season. I could tell before I called him that he knew nothing since back then the add was written similar to now except it said the bike had 370WHP so I had to call and see how he came up with this number. First off he answers the phone to tell hold on I'm running from the cops. once he caches his breath I explain to him why I'm calling and that I'm interisted in the bike. He sounded like he was high on some messed up drugs and could not answer any of my questions about the bike and if i wanted to see it he would have to get some friend that still lived in hamilton to show it to me but first wanted me to commit to buying the bike he knew nothing about and that I hadn't seen in person.

i've bolded everything this dummy should not have said

Details 03/04 (forget, sorry!)
1000CC GSX-R
Black in colour
Tuned for pump gas
Turbo kit (Not too sure of specifics, however at similar setups return around 300hp as per youtube)
Built engine (forged, no documentation for this, however bike appears to have been "opened" before. Not original.
Power Commander 3?
Large fuel pump
Corbin Seat Polished stainless Micron Exhaust

Faults:
*cluster face is cracked, prev owner dropped a tool on it. doesnt affect mileage readout or tachometer calibration.
*respray looks awful, would repaint or vinyl wrap
*not for a novice rider
*"too fast" for most, you man enough?
*limited documentation/proof of power. At the of the day, its a clean title bike thats been overhauled, and its turbo.
What more do you want for a little more then 4 grand?!

Looking for a quick sale. Priced at $4900 I am not losing my shirt on the bike, however

I am open to cash in hand offers. No "oh bro when I sell my brothers cousins v6 mustang and my bmx Ill take it for sure" Have the money? Like the bike? Wanna go really fast? Make an offer, work something out, go home HAPPY (and quickly)

Please contact me, ONLY BY PHONE. Do not email me. I do not wish to trade for anything other than LS chevrolet parts, or cars worth 7k+.

As you know, I was looking for a 2006+ GSXR 600 track bike for a while before I found the right deal.
Believe it or not, his is not that overpriced, compared to what others were asking with less upgrades.
I would assume he wanted to leave some wiggle room for hagglers and what not.
A lot of high end parts on that bike and it is a clean example, not some US salvaged, beat up BS type deal.

Nokturnal is a cool dude... I only wish he parted it out before I bought all my upgrades.

For that price in my opinion completely over priced. One thing is what people ask, other what they actually get.

Anyone spending that kind of money and looking for those upgrades MOST likely will race, there is no 750 class, meaning you have to run in superbike, so not many racers will go that way.

A new track rider will most likely not want to spend that kind of money on a track bike, hence why most likely you didn't buy it from him.

So that leaves an experienced track rider that has no intentions of racing or already did and retired.

You can find some seriously setup bikes with suspension and engine work done in the states for that price.

Smart of him to part it out, he wasn't going to sell it for that price, unless he got really lucky.

Not everyone is looking to race or set land speed records. Anyone looking for a decent track bike will appreciate it.
Yes, you can buy well prepped bikes from south of the border, but for that kind of money? Sure, if it's the same age and at that point, is it worth the trip? Time on the road, time off work (if applicable), gas, other expenses, etc.?

Motor work for SOME people is a turn off, it was for me when I was shopping around. They require too much maintenance and a refresh/rebuild every so often. That is only based on what I've read/heard from people who have experienced this.
A stock motor is reliable enough and for MOST people stuff like Ohlins all around, full Akra Ti exhaust is worth something. Not to mention the clean title and low KM's it has.

Not saying that his price is amazing, but it's not that far from reality...

Just as an example - New Jersey is 8 hrs away - 1 over night 150 bucks hotel, 150 in gas and let's say 200 more in whatever. Stop at the boarder and fill up one form and you are in as a parts bike, pay 500 in taxes and you are done.

So 3800 plus 1000 in expenses taxes etc you are still under 5k.

Yes, but his came with an Akrapovic vs Leo Vince, spare set of bodywork, case covers, a clutch that works, Brembo master, clean title/ownership, OEM parts included so you can recovers some of your expenses, etc. etc.
Again, I didn't say his price was dirt cheap, but it isn't that high out of reach. Mid 6k would have been reasonable.

Mid 6 it would have, he had it posted for 8k

Not putting down your friend, just saying that a 5 year old track bike for 8k is over priced, hence why he didn't sell it.

Meh, I killed a stock motor with "low mileage" in one season. Built or not motors need attention above and beyond oil changes and valve clearance inspections when raced/tracked or they go boom. Well it's more of a knocking metal on metal sound.
