LOL, he sure knows alot about his bike
So I personally had the honour of talking on the phone with this TOOL in the fall when I was looking for a new bike for next season. I could tell before I called him that he knew nothing since back then the add was written similar to now except it said the bike had 370WHP so I had to call and see how he came up with this number. First off he answers the phone to tell hold on I'm running from the cops. once he caches his breath I explain to him why I'm calling and that I'm interisted in the bike. He sounded like he was high on some messed up drugs and could not answer any of my questions about the bike and if i wanted to see it he would have to get some friend that still lived in hamilton to show it to me but first wanted me to commit to buying the bike he knew nothing about and that I hadn't seen in person.
With all those stickers, rim tape and snazzy seat, totally worth the 10k
6k topsBetter question: How much should it cost?
For that price in my opinion completely over priced. One thing is what people ask, other what they actually get.As you know, I was looking for a 2006+ GSXR 600 track bike for a while before I found the right deal.
Believe it or not, his is not that overpriced, compared to what others were asking with less upgrades.
I would assume he wanted to leave some wiggle room for hagglers and what not.
A lot of high end parts on that bike and it is a clean example, not some US salvaged, beat up BS type deal.
Nokturnal is a cool dude... I only wish he parted it out before I bought all my upgrades.
Not everyone is looking to race or set land speed records. Anyone looking for a decent track bike will appreciate it.
Yes, you can buy well prepped bikes from south of the border, but for that kind of money? Sure, if it's the same age and at that point, is it worth the trip? Time on the road, time off work (if applicable), gas, other expenses, etc.?
Motor work for SOME people is a turn off, it was for me when I was shopping around. They require too much maintenance and a refresh/rebuild every so often. That is only based on what I've read/heard from people who have experienced this.
A stock motor is reliable enough and for MOST people stuff like Ohlins all around, full Akra Ti exhaust is worth something. Not to mention the clean title and low KM's it has.
Not saying that his price is amazing, but it's not that far from reality...
Mid 6 it would have, he had it posted for 8kYes, but his came with an Akrapovic vs Leo Vince, spare set of bodywork, case covers, a clutch that works, Brembo master, clean title/ownership, OEM parts included so you can recovers some of your expenses, etc. etc.
Again, I didn't say his price was dirt cheap, but it isn't that high out of reach. Mid 6k would have been reasonable.
