From the lettering on the truck in the background this has something to do with Peter Derry, the guy who took over the MC Supershow at the Int'l. Centre from Bar Hodgson. He has quite a collection.

marketplace is weird. it kept listing my bmw as S1000R no matter how many times I corrected it, it wouldn't accept S1000RR.

Maybe he's from Brazil? Their currency is the Real (Reais plural). $6,500 Reais would be $1,718.00 CAD.

In 1991 they shed the ugly and applied the K100RS body work in a lovely pearl paintwork.

It's ugly enough to be iconic and therefore collectible imo. Probably not 15k right now but not 3k either.
