What an idiot, so he wants $200 less than the price of a new one and he had ridden it 7 years already?

Where are You finding litre bikes brand new for 10k?

If you Google Image Search 2006 CBR and 2007 CBR you will notice on the 2006 the nose of the bike is solid as in the pictures of this bike. On a 2007 there is a duct between the headlights which this bike does not have.

What the hell are you talking about?

Can you guys elaborate?
No doubt the price is ridiculous, but how do you figure it's stolen and/or tampered with?

Its an 06 model with an 07 VIN

Those are 600RR's, The ad is a 1000RR which doesn't have the air scoop between the lights.

Also, when did a red and black CBR become rare? I thought that was the most used color scheme.

oops...yea, you're right.

Sorry I misled you guys I didn't even look to see the cc's. Just automatically assumed it was a 600 due to the outrageous price and jumped the gun...Its still kind of high for a 6 year old bike...

lol

that bike was 17,000$ + new...

I dunno peggy, not knowing the difference between a 600 and a 1000, then criticizing the price and not knowing what the bike is actually worth or even knowing what the msrp was ...and you call the other guy an idiot? :lmao:

Waiting to see my bike pop up on here. :p

The MSRP for a 2013 CBR1000RRA Repsol edition is only $15,499 and a 2012 is non Repsol is only $13,599 plus HST.

You should not factor in the tax as part of the depreciation but let say I will take your $17,000 amount and over 6 years. That means the asking price from seller at $10K is thinking his CBR should be retaining over 90% of its value every year.

A friend bought a brand new 2011 yamaha R1 at the Motorcycle show for $12K on the road with taxes and everything.
