Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Not sure if reasonably priced or overpriced, guessing overpriced maybe?

Over priced.
Racebike that still has turn signals and mirrors? Ha!
Just for reference, I picked up an '09 R6s race-ready bike last Fall for $3k.
 
rare and valuable are not synonyms.

Many beginner bikes are priced at the outstanding balance on the loan. By the time you add tax, PDI and a high interest loan, the outstanding balance is well above MSRP. They figure they haven't ridden them much and should be able to get all of their money back. They don't realize that the next buyer has to pay tax as well which drives their price to the moon.
 
A lot of people feel that the price they are asking should reflect the fun times they had riding and that the new owner should pay for the good times they had on the bike which they are now giving up. This is the mental approach they take and are surprised when it's been online for two weeks and no interest is expressed, except for offers that reflect the actual value of the motorcycle.

Are you a high roller? Do they call you "Mr. Las Vegas"? Or do you just plain love Las Vegas? You need these "VEGAS" Ontario license plates with ownership papers for your ride for only $1,500. Yes - they have been collecting dust for a while, but how can anyone pass up this opportunity to own a classic?

Useless to a new owner so far as actually using them, once personalized plates are used/attached, they can never be transferred.

Seller probably doesn’t know that. Buyer may not either. Buyer may be ****** when he realizes he spent $1500 for a set of old rusty wall ornaments.

This is assuming, of course, he finds a sucker willing to spend $1500 for then.

That is technically not true although practically it basically is. You can transfer to a family member.
You can also transfer to a non-family member but it would be complicated.

"A transfer to an unrelated vehicle purchaser may be permitted where there is a strong existing relationship between the two parties, and the buyer has been the operator of the vehicle prior to the transfer as co-habitant, or the co-habitant’s parents."

Definitely not worth the trouble unless someone is obsessed and wants to jump through hoops.

If he throws in a few months rent so you can co-habitate, his price is much more reasonable.
