Stupidly overpriced motorcycle for sale thread

Good to know! Still comes out to be over 16500 after tax and freight.

My asking price of 16500 doesn't seem that unreasonable of a starting point at less than half the kms, services up to date, and some nice add-ons included.

If I am being so unreasonable that it needed to be linked in this thread, could someone explain?
HST is paid on your price too.

There is no freight to be paid on a used bike.

Your add ons are (relatively) cheap farkles.

Brand new price was $16,500 in 2012

Your price is very high.

I get the tax and freight, I'll leave that part off the board and on Kijiji.

The add ons, while not ground breaking performance mods, should still add decent value (especially the stand to a first time Ducati).

I am open to any suggestions on a fair price if you have some.

Freight was included in the 12 on a new one I would try for 9 for yours. I sold my 1198 for 11

9 seems on the really low end, and I'm sure you put a lot more milage on your 1198. But I do appreciate the input.

I'll lower the price a bit to start and see if it gets any bites.

Those add-ons won't help price much at all. Only way to get value out of them is to take them off and sell them separate. US buyers = more money in pocket.

As for pricing... It's easy to look at your competition on kijiji. Here's a link to duc's for sale and one can see who is high and who is not.

Lots of nice 1098's and some 1198's in the price range on that page. Note the BMW S1000RR with 4000 km for $13k for example. Even multiple evo corse's.

FWIW, 99% of people won't care about 4k mileage versus 9k mileage either, etc.

Makes sense. I'll price it higher than the obviously dropped and damaged one, but lower than the dealers if I take off some of the add ons.

2010 M50 $9000. He was advertising the same bike for the same price a year ago. You can still find much newer bikes for much less at a dealership.

He's back: http://www.kijiji.ca/v-sport-tourin...ty/1085564762?enableSearchNavigationFlag=true

And he's still got competition: http://www.suzukiofnewmarket.com/mo...oulevard-12b69e860a0d0caf2040a957cec529f3.htm

i don't know much about cruisers but suzuki canada might be selling 2015 brand new for 7999

I know it's a common practice for Harley types, but they don't see depreciation like we "sporty" hooligans do.

^^ Did that guy actually take out a 10-year loan on a frickin' bike?

I'd go for a 10 year...at 0% and an open loan...but damn, good luck getting out from under that one. I love how the exhaust was $1300 (not to mention the rest of the mods)...umm pay that ***** down first :violent1:

I'd say there's no way he's getting someone stupid enough to sign up for 13k on a bike worth less than 8k, but there doesn't seem to be a shortage of people doing this at dealerships....

Looks like he's one of our own too http://www.gtamotorcycle.com/vbforum/showthread.php?191952-Feeler-FS-2011-Kawasaki-Ninja-ZX6R
