Stupid bicyclists...

Not motorcycle related but had to vent.

In my car driving to work, in the right turn lane waiting to make my turn behind another car from St. Clair onto Yonge Street. All of a sudden, I feel a bump from behind. I look in my side mirror and see a bicycle behind me. Before I have time to react to the situation, he starts riding away and as he is side by side, his milk crates on the back of his bike scrape my car. I immediately abort my right turn and go through the intersection after him. He stops at the corner and I yell at him, telling him that he hit my car numerous times. He tells me to f*** off.

If he would've just apologized it would have been alright, but since he swore at me it angered me even more. I proceeded to stop my car to confront him. That's when cars start honking me, and the bus in the next lane has no where to go since I had just stopped after the intersection. I didn't want to hold up traffic so I decided to just let it go and drove off. Still furious.

End of rant.

Bicyclists see themselves as saviours of the world and see car drivers as 4-wheeled murderers. The war between bicycles and cars will never end.

do they make flip plates for cars? next time it happens, turn on flip plate, *bump* the cyclist, drive away. turn off flip plate.

As this commercial shows you can do alot more then just *bump* them lol:

Oh, is that the video of Michael Bryant running the cyclist over and killing him in what appears to be a fit of road rage? Sorry, wrong video..

If you make a mistake, whether it's from driving or riding, just wave and say "I'm sorry."

But when you make a mistake and then confronted about it, you tell the other person to "F*** off", that just causes the situation to escalate.

Stupid isn't restricted to bicycles. It's everywhere in the city. You should be used to it by now. My advice is to ignore stupidity. Yelling at it will just make your throat sore and waste energy. Once you begin to ignore it you will then learn to embrace stupidity and blend into the city environment. Only then will you be truly happy.

Either that or move...

I agree that stupidity is everywhere and it's best to ignore it. But he wasn't just stupid, he actually caused damage to my car. The whole side is scratched from his stupidity.

I just don't like the fact that he caused damage to someone else's property and didn't give a crap.

Just found an alternative! :)

This one is actually in stock.

Ignoring stupidity will not make it go away, and it'll leave you very very lonely.

If he damaged your vehicle while he was operating his own vehicle (motor or not), could you not apprehend him? Is it not hit-in-run?

As much as I would love to see this guy knocked off of his bike, I'd much rather have the police show up and collect his information, file a report, and allow you to sue him for damages to your vehicle and for the cost of a rental while your vehicle is being repaired. He'll either learn quickly, or go broke trying!

First off you were in your car. To anyone on a bicycle or motorcyle you are just another miserable ahole cager. When it comes to cagers, bird is always the word. Today, I had someone yelling something at me for zero reason. This driver was in front of me. Perhaps he didn't like me tailgating. To bad, pick up the pace or I am going to pass when I get the chance. I couldn't hear over my mp3 player. I have no idea what he was saying. If you are in your car, don't talk to me. If you do, don't come crying on a motorcyle forum about the reply you will get: A Finger Salute and a F$%$ %%F. :agave:

I swear I don't get the bicyclist in Toronto. The sense of entitlement is ridiculous.
I watched this girl on Yonge street the other day try and squeeze past a dump truck and a parked UPS truck at a red light...the light turned green just as she was midway through them.....dump truck starts moving and is turning right.....this friggin genius rings her little bike bell chirp thing (REALLY?!?!) and keeps moving trough even though the truck is still making its turn......she finally realizes that the truck didn't hear her chirp and isn't stopping..... she brakes hard and almost falls over on to the UPS truck. She gains her composure, flips the bird to the back of the dump truck and starts throwing a fit in the middle of the street...... with cars behind her honking ......Unbelievable
Also I can't even count the number of times these ******** have blown stop signs almost running me and whoever else was crossing over. I won't even get started on the e-bike people...

I was going to get out and talk to him about it, but that's when everyone started honking me since I pulled over and was blocking the right lane. I didn't want to hold up traffic so I let it go and drove off.
