Struggling with that Christmas gift search ?

Hiking stores. Silk or synthetic liners and wool outers.
Thanks! Also going to find me a new hat....

Being bald sucks at this time of year, and I should probably look more 'professional' than my beanie.

Something along these lines...

But not sure I trust a 'genuine leather' hat for $69...seems too cheap.

I actually looked at that list (men's gift guide section), and I got some questions.

-I admit I'm not the most finely groomed human on the planet, but wtf is facial polish
-$180 sweatpants!
-It kinda looks like that $260 clock has maybe $2 worth of parts in it, and $0.50 of engineering

OK that was only one question

I’m good. The Vintages store is under a KM. I know where the locked Scotch cabinet is there. I can be done my shopping in under 30 minutes.

Try Sterkowski.com

I've bought several from them over the years as gifts. My kids liked them so much they ended up on their heads instead of mine.
The craftsmanship is excellent, price is reasonable.

I haven't worked out how to resize to accommodate ear flaps yet. This is my current daily wearer.
It's hard to earflap a brimmed hat, they typically earflaps fold outside. I've stitched them to fine-knit fabric that bridges the sweatband (attached above), that way they tuck into the crown when not being used.

Leather hats aren't really my thing, I've made a few -- can't stand the finicky stitching details.
