Any recommendations on streetfighter headlights? I do like the Aztec8 Dual 4" headlight

But at $280 with brackets I think I'll pass. Especially since I heard light output wasn't the greatest. Furthermore I am planning on doing a bixenon HID retrofit so I am basically just looking for a shell.

The dominators are a little bit cheaper at $210 but that's still more than I would like to spend and I think they don't come with brackets.

I found these as low as $130 on ebay. But shipping kind of kills the deal at $40.

Any thoughts? Is there an OEM alternative I am not considering? I know the buell ones are similar but i like the seperate look.

What have you guys used? Does anyone have a set they want to part with?

dual headlight Buells like the XB9 City X, online vendors at Badweb Buell forum.....not expensive
 
You can just order the xb9-12 headlights from Harley of Toronto.

I'll check it out. I kinda wanna keep the headlight cost under $100 because retrofitting a lens and HID's is gunna cost another ~$150ish at minimum.

Call the salvage yards and look for those Buell lights? Or maybe some speed triple ones, anything that had similar lights?
 
I had the Aztec8 dual headlight kit. The quality on the headlights was great and the light throw was great. I really started to enjoy fork mounted headlights and being able to point my headlights as opposed to SS headlights always pointing foward in fairings. You get what you pay for, sure they were $ and I did put better bulbs in (Silverstar H4's) but I enjoyed them and they pulled the bike together. I added the turn signal option also and wired those in.

What I did was put two nuts on the inside of the two housings on the bolt that connects them and turned them both out, forcing the lenses appart. This resulted in a WuTang clan headbeam throw which I was most pleased with. i did this because there was quite a bit overlap in the middle and it was not wide enough for my night riding. Hibeams were phenomenal.

any more questions feel free to ask away. happy to help. shipping was fast, the instructions were helpful, it comes with a easy to wire up harness and quick disconnect, the brackets are quality and adjustable and wont scratch the tubes as they are a composite plastic or what have you.

u can also look around customfighters.com for some ideas and other reviews. i'd say go with the aztec8 dual 4", you'll be happy.

Dammit... see now I am debating whether I want a dual 4" round, which I do but I am not sure if I will be able to fit projectors in them. Or if I want the KTM style headlight that looks pure pimp.

The thing is I want dual high and dual low beam projector setup regardless of which option I go with. So even if I got the KTM one I would want ot mod it. But it sure looks pretty.
 
The 690 light probably won't look too good on your bike, it's really narrow... the front end will look funky.

How bout something like this? Its from a Yamaha MT-03.. custom brackets though

^^^ I love it. But I am thinking if I do stacked I can't have dual hi and lo beams. Or at the very least it would seriously complicate things.
 
What do you think of these gas mask ones? I saw a couple that me go WOW! But I am not sure if I could pull it off. But it would give me a good shroud for my dual projectors

Only down side with this is that it will definately be DOT illegal and I could get hassled from the popo all the time.
