Straight Weight Oil - where to buy

Besides Harley Davidson does anyone know where I can get straight 50 weight oil in the city? I don't think flying squirrel has it and there are no Harley shops near me.

Do you have a special need for straight 50 weight? For general engine use, we don't have the climate to support 50 weight. A good multi-viscosity is a better choice.
I've seen straight 50 weight at heavy truck service centres, you could try there. I've also seen it used in heavy stationary engines (generators). (Try Toromont-Cat or Cummins or the like)

It's a bit old school but with modern syn and accessories such as oil coolers etc don't hear or know of any folks running straight 50 weight since the 80s.

Good luck. Not going to suggest trying something else.

Good luck.

SAE 50?

Have you checked princess auto?

I don't understand...do Harley's run straight weight? And even if the supposedly do, why wouldn't a modern car oil be fine anyway, since the tranny/clutch and engine are separate?

Prospect,

Post a couple of pictures when you get a chance. Not a real fan of a lot of the modern stuff that HD puts out but there is something special about the 40s and 50s Harleys.
