Storage Waiver

I think anyone being asked or wanting to store something can use this thread as a good resource to the many cons compared to the few pro's...

You, or the bank, can put anything you want in a document or contract... it doesn't mean it is legally binding.
Both side of a contract have in-alienable rights that no "waiver" will change. You can't sign away your rights, nor can a document add to your rights.
I was a bit tongue in cheek with the remark but if things go legal anything can be used to stir the pot until the person with the biggest legal fund typically wins.

I didn't read this as the neighbor requesting a waiver to protect themselves, but to protect @Jampy00. When you rent a storage facility or store your bike at a dealer, the facility doesn't sign anything for you - you sign something for them so you can't (theoretically) sure them for certain things.

Speaking of storage facilities, maybe you should get a sample from them. That's pretty much what you're doing. My friend mentioned that his included a clause that stated he had to have his own insurance for his items (including the bike), since they would not cover damage, theft, etc.
