Stocks

It won't be. It'll only be the end for those who speculated too much and got burned.
Well to Mimico's point, it is becoming blatantly obvious that much of the stock market is a game manipulated by the few with no effective oversight. You will always be allowed to play in the game because they need more suckers to extract money from. Not every player gets burned but the dirty ones take a disproportionate portion of the wins.

I meant the end as in the big players will put in roadblocks that you can no longer do your own investing. Because it’s too volatile...or whatever justification they want to use.

But stocks are a zero sum game. So as @GreyGhost said....they need suckers to dump cash in so the big boys can profit.

It’s funny how much market manipulation is literally happening in the open and no one gives a ****.

I hope that this isn’t the beginning of the end for retail investors.

I think ppl care....its just the guys with the money have the media on their side lol

Think the government has to step in, but who knows who's sleeping with who in that realm.

Indeed, I feel bad for new investors that don't realize how speculative of a stock this is. The whole "hold to the moon" mindset is going to make a lot of people have very serious regrets.

Guys like this
Diamond balls is what that is. Was just reading the thread and even though I have no clue how calls work....

this guys expire tomorrow...not looking good apparently. But I know nothing.

I'll go out on a limb and say most ppl who jumped in should've known this was a meme. When I told my buddies about it, most of us got in just to screw the billionaires.

One buddy comes to mind....he put $50k (when GME was $480 lol) to screw the billionares, then double downed. Our discussions are not about how much money we've made, but how stupid we all are lol

Said it before ... one of my rules is never buy options except under the most exceptional of circumstances (the "this can't possibly stay like this" situations), always sell them.

I bought some MG at $115-and-change today, sold April at-the-money ($115 strike) calls against them for $5. It ended up dipping below $115 today. I don't mind owning that long term if it stays below $115, and I also don't mind if it gets called away, earning a few percent in a few weeks is good enough for me. I know what the company does. I'm pretty sure they're not going bankrupt any time soon.

The problem at this point is that if he can get in, then someone is getting out, unless the company is cashing in and issuing more stock. AFAIK people who shorted should have gotten more & more margin calls, and eventually the stock can't be loaned out, as there isn't any to loan.

What's your guys opinion on Wealth Simple? You might have to spell it out for me!
No real opinion here but they apparently tried to avoid actively screwing their clients during GME craziness so that is a positive in my books.

I started using it about 2 months ago. Does what it's supposed to do. Zero commissions on trades. Probably best for those that are new to trading stocks. That would be me.
