Stinger Folding Trailer - Anything Similar Found Locally?

For the arts and crafts crowd, sitting in my shed is an axle assembly with good wheels and tires and a leaf spring set. I converted a dual axle sailboat trailer to a single axle, this is the second axle. Real size tires, not wheelbarrow size. $100. takes it away.

I would only trust that for extremely short distances + you def cant tow two bikes with that method.

My comment was firmly tongue in cheek. ;)

You register it as home made, which does not require a vin at all in Ontario. Also, my recipet did not have a vin anywhere on it.

Yes, as I mentioned, registering it as homemade and avoiding the RIV process entirely would be the easiest, if not technically legal method. There's supposedly a VIN stamped on the frame inside those boxes, therefore legally, it has to be imported as a vehicle. If the buyer chooses to not do so, and if the Harbor Freight store fails to put that VIN on the receipt (better yet, again) then that's their decision.

I did plenty of reading about these trailers and it's repeatedly mentioned that the cashier is supposed to enter the Vin number on the cash register at the point-of-sale so that it appears on the receipt. Registering a trailer as home built with a made-up VIN isn't as easy in most places as it is here, therefore those US buyers *need* that receipt with the VIN to actually get their title and plates afterwards.

The VIN is on a small metal plate that you are supposed to attach to the trailer frame. My VIN plate fell out of the box while I was loading the trailer parts in the car.

I bought a little 40" x 48" trailer years ago out of someones back yard. They had long lost the paperwork and ownership for it. I ended up removing the VIN tag and registering it as a homebuilt trailer. I had it for years and then sold it with zero problems. I have also built myself a 4' x 6' trailer and registered it as a home made trailer with zero problems
